ATEOTD he has only played 2 games and they couldn't be more different. Last week we played a team with the defensive intensity of a cream cake. This week we played the best defence in the league. He missed the whole of pre-season and has played on the left wing for one game and the right wing for one game that's hardly going to be conducive to him settling in. Dismissing him after one game is as stupid as hailing him as the new messiah after one. He will need time to settle in.

simpson was poor last night, but so were the other 3 3/4's,grix as usual was a rock at the back!

I actually think we have thrown him in too quickly, he's only had 1 reserve game and i would have thought he would have needed a couple more to get him - A:match fit and B: used to English conditions etc.

Seem to remember after a couple of games people were questioning the signing of a fullback a couple of years ago. He dropped a ball or two, he missed a few conversions, he threw a few passes into touch. Can't for the life in me remember his name now, but he did go on to be the Man Of Steel for that season.

Pat Richards is a winger and he had an awful first season, so much a lot of Wigan fans wanted him to be released. He did alright.

Look at it from a different angle, who has NB signed that has been a let down? I can't think of one.... Why? Because he doesn't sign dross, he doesn't panic buy and if he doesn't think someone is right for the team he doesn't sign them. Simpson will come good IMO.

give jamie simpson a break. he isn't a winger he is a centre and that is his fav position. he needs to get match fit and used to our conditions. as said before nb doesn't buy people who are going to come in and door a poor job. give him time

we have to trust nathan on this one as he usually buys good players, simpson might just need to get match fit and up to speed, he hasnt played much top grade footy for 18 months
