Totally agree. How the hell he had the cheek to pull us up for holding down at times when Catalans were doing it for longer and more often beats me. The guy is a muppet.

Got to agree with PBGiant thought Bentham had a reasonable game, he got all the big decisions correct. Did not get a close enough view of the Lunt and Hodgson incidents to comment. I think we sometimes forget its a contact sport. Just happy that we did not seem to come away with any major injury worries.

How come Bentham was Ref today?

Hewer tripped over Bentham's ego in the warm up.

The RFL decided to put Bentham in charge of our game after Leeds unexpectedly lost to Wigan on Friday giving us a chance of finishing 2nd. Unfortunately for the RFL the plan didn't work and as hard as he tried, he couldn't help the frogs win.

Hewer tripped over his comedy 3 sizes too big shoes and landed on his red nose causing untold damage so another of Billy Smarts finest had to be shipped in!!!!!!

Its not the off the ball incedents, its the complete unevenness of the application of the offside and holding down rules that got me, usually I can sit back and go "yeah, he was ok I guess" but today Bentham was just terrible

He penalised Finnegan (IIRC) at one point for flopping, when the tackle hadnt been completed when he went to join in, yet time and again the Cats players were piling a third man on as the Giants player was getting up

Ref got injured, pulled a muscle I think and Bentham was called into play.

I thought overall he was fair, although I agree about one of the flop penalties awarded against us, I thought the man was not tackled fully.
