Has it ever occurred to anyone that it might not be about money particularly, for Conner. He may just want a change of clubs for his own reasons, I know it's difficult to appreciate anyone wanting to leave a club with such a unblemished record in it's own dealings with players, but it does happen.

If it is the extra money that has taken him away ( how does anyone know ) Then who can blame him for trying to do the best for himself, Except for those who would never consider a new contract and pay rise for themselves. If and when he goes it won't be long before he falls in for all the slagging off that most who leave the Giants qualify for, Which I imagine will leave him Brocken hearted.

If Hull have breached any rules, I'm sure the RFL will rule they have to pay us, just like we had to pay Bradford.

So right then Connor is a better full back just after 1 game,but he's offski and Brierley is a better full back but he's a half back,Jared Simpson is a better FB but dunt get picked. So where does this leave us ?

Leaves us wanting a coach who WILL hopefully decide where they all should play and get them giving their utmost for the club on a regular basis

He had been offered the same deal as Hull and he wants to play FB, which is unlikely to happen at Hull.

Sam had a great game vs Hull.. Was really impressed with him, in particular his defence. Fonua was probably there best player and he almost dealt with everything.

Agreed, always surprised me how strong and composed he is in defence. I was worried at the start of the game with Brierley and Wood together on the left, but they scrambled well and muscled up against some big fringe players for Hull.

I was massively worried. But fair play to him, he performed much better than many other players from other teams have this year vs Hull's right edge. Also, as you mention, Brierley really got stuck.. Reminded me of how Brough defends.

He's gone against some big names at Wigan too but he certainly doesn't give the appearance of being fazed by that kind of thing at all. Very composed defensively. He did miss a few tackles but I remember he missed one tackle in the second half and made a massive effort to catch the guy and put him down after.

Size will come as he matures, but he obviously has the mental toughness and correct attitude to make it at SL level.

connor is too slow for a centre, half back or full back but still half back id like to see maybe long term for brough

sam wood looks very strong in defence

still see murphy and ormsby on that side though (if signed, hull seem to announce signings early...)

Not sure Connors much slower than Murph to be honest as regards centre and hey we played Eorl there ?
De Vere wasnt lightening fast -it was brains and technique that made him special !

One of Jakes main assets are his quick thinking (Saints at Newcastle and his efforts squeezing over in the corner in subsequent matches) - they can compensate for natural pace - so if hes staying its up to the new coach to recognize his qualities /agree where he should be played (with jake) and give him a run in that position (and see if it works and he settles in)

If we`re looking long term -- then perhaps Brearley and young Simpson/ Ellis at halves where theyre not lined up as cannon fodder for the opponent forwards with the former as possible wing cover

Get an established shape and let the lads develop a relationship with the players alongside instead of all this constant musical chairs chop and change that (IMO) has disrupted any consistency throughout the last couple o seasons
