To be fair Saints did their own fair share of foot shooting tonight.

10 points ahead with 16 minutes to go and we give 2 stupid penalties which lead to 2 tries and Huddersfield are level.

Until tonight Huddersfield had the best defence and Saints the second best defence.

Agree. Four clean brakes in first half and none made to count. The worst was Hughes ignoring two men on his outside and passing to Grix ankles.
Their first two tries were pure luck. However we did gift them three tries. Roby's dummy run for the full backs hatrick what was Mason doing at the play the ball? Percival's first was shocking and we conceeded another from a stupid penalty from Taai on the 4th tackle.
They should not have had opportunity for a drop goal though as no way to Robinson knock on. Saints players hand knocked it out and even if the ref missed this it went backwards so it should have been play on.

I think it was Kopzack at fault for Roby's dummy half run Stella - every now and again his defensive lapses cost us. I agree with yorkie that Cudjoe was poor both offensively and defensively. The ricochet try off Grix legs and the refusal to tackle Percival also had me gnashing my teeth. I wouldn't have been upset with a draw but a defeat is tough to take.

I accept what shadow says about Saints shooting themselves in the foot re: penalties. But feel that saints took their chances and Huddersfield threw theirs away.

There were a couple of refereeing calls that went against us.

One positive though is that they never gave up. I was particularly please when Tai spilled the ball and immediately stole it back from Roby in a 1 on 1. Great attitude.

So these two penalties were silly from Saints, true,weigh that up with our errors and like I said in the opening line, we could and should have been well in command after 10 minutes. Tell me this, what would your call have been at 34-34, and Giants kick out on the full. Saints regular kicker hasn't had a shot at goal all night, does he go for two from half way or kick to the corner and 6 tackles.

Yes that was a puzzle to me too. At that point I felt that there was a good chance of 6 points with some composed pressure. With 10 mins remaining a 2 point margin didn't seem enough.

Baron Greenback I couldn't make game and was watching on TV but was fairly sure it was Mason and not Koppy who fell asleep at marker may be wrong though as was watching in pub with no sound.

Some unlucky ball bounces which could have given us repeat sets, juggle from wardle- saints juggled twice and managed to hang on. Some kicks that were just a fraction too long. Wardles head knock...


I also thought it was kopczak that allowed roby to run.

Good way to watch the game with no sound, I was watching at home, turned the sound off after 20 minutes, no drivel or clinches from the " experts". far more enjoyable, going to contact sky and ask for a reduced fee for a pictures only service.

Juggle from Wardle was a risky pass from Danny, it comes off then great, it doesn't then that is the risk 50/50 chance, the head knock for Joe was unfortunate I agree,kicks that are too long again they can go either way, but no bad luck early doors, just poor execution from us

Agree now Kopczak and not Madon at fault for Robys break. Also for last two Saints tries can anyone explain why we had Grix and Wood next to each other in defencive line. An accident waiting to happen.
