| Quote: the stella kid "If Cudjoe was concussed then surely the Giants have a duty of care to remove him from the field of play.
Cannot blame Grix for the first try the London player had just run through the left side defence unapposed.
He also did brilliantly in second half to hold the London forward up over the line after he had run straight through Ferres.'"
wood had alot to do with holding the london player up over the line too in that one

| Fairly flat performance but then it usually is unless its one of the big teams..did enough to win the game but the crowd were bored, would have liked to see us try and step up a gear or 2 and provide a bit of entertainment.
One point, and i know i will get shot down for this but...again we see our HOME crowd 'supporting' the opposition because they are lower down the table or haven't brought many fans...the applause for London's tries was nearly as loud as it was for ours...even when they came back to within 10 points over half the BR stand were applauding, i was almost embarrassed by it, now dont get me wrong i know it's apparently 'sporting' of our fans but how psychological is this ? London know they have only a handful of fans there supporting them so to hear hundreds of people applauding them must surely give them a boost, on the other hand how must our lads feel when all they can hear are groans and moans for them when they make the slightest error but huge applause for the opposition, if that was me i would be a bit annoyed at it as those people should be encouraging our team, we would never applaud the bigger teams so why do we do it for teams based on their league position or away following, i want teams to come to our ground and be feared of playing at our home ground not welcomed and made to feel like friendly visitors and getting bigger applause than our team !!

| spot on daz, i know a lot of our fans applaud the opposition onto the field as it is the sporting thing to do, but yesterday it was deafening, i agree and i said so during the game that our fans wouldn't applaud wigan or leeds tries unless they were very special tries-that's a natural reaction from most sports fans, even football fans applaud a brilliant goal from the opposition.
but yesterday our fans were like neutrals at times, applauding the underdog at every opportunity.
we never got applauded when we were crap, we still don't get applauded onto the field when we have few away fans so why do our fans feel it necessary to do it?

| I heard the applause when they came on to the pitch but have to say I did not notice any cheering when London scored their tries.

| All I could hear around me was the sons of people complaining because the Giants had switched off.

| Yes, but why aren't we 'sporting' towards Wigan, Wire, Leeds, Saints etc and applaud their tries..thats my point, no other set of fans i have ever come across applaud the opposition either onto the field or when scoring tries, so why do we feel the need to do it !!

This infuriated me. Would they have been clapping if they'd scored another 2 tries and were in front?
Absolutely effing ridiculous. I was apoplectic for the second try they scored second half from the up & under to the corner. All the seals flapping their arms seemingly oblivious to the fact we were still in the changing rooms and that they were actually cheering on the opposition.

That's exactly what i said mate, when will the clapping stop ? would they still have been 'sporting' towards the opposition if they had actually took the lead ? very strange thing to do in my eyes !

| When the opposition run out at the start of each half I will give them two or three claps as a courtesy. Aside from that unless they do something extremely good indeed I will not acknowledge anything they do aside from moaning they should be onside, that they have thrown a forward pass or that they're holding us down.
If one of theirs does a great tackle, throws a superb pass etc then yes I will acknowledge it. But I am biased. I am there to watch my lot win. Handsomely, hopefully. But it doesn't happen now because we don't aim up when the weaker teams come to town. London should have been nilled yesterday yet score 4 tries. That's terrible from us, it really is when you think how we used to pride ourselves on our defence. We concede too many points, full stop, and it's because we don't work as hard for each other (that old chestnut, but a valid point) as we used to. it's like they're not as tight as a group as they used to be because they've fallen in love with themselves onanistically rather than being best mates and standing shoulder to shoulder with them fighting for the collective.

And 800 more than Wakey got against Wigan, but yet there is a thread on their board mocking our crowd !!! Brilliant

| i wanted us to nil them yesterday, be ruthless, show no mercy, smash em to pieces, it didn't happen though.
i was disappointed we conceded that first try and would imagine most of our supporters were too, yet people were generously applauding the fact that we had let poor opposition in for a try, to say i was surprised is an understatement!
i have no problem applauding any team if they score a wonder try, but to just give the opposition a token/sympathetic round of applause after they have scored is poor, like daz said, what will our players think when our own fans are applauding the opposition when one of our aims is to stop them scoring!

| Giants won yesterday without getting out of second gear and although we'd have liked to have scored more points it's the result that matters, although I'm hoping we play better on Thursday.

spot on, winning is a habit, winning gets you points on the board, playing brilliant rugby doesn't
welcome by the way.
