| Hauraki got two matches(downgraded to grade b) for the "tackle" on grix. He's also got two for punching in the wigan game. Let's hope chase gets a big slice too- I'm sure leigh fans would agree

| 7 games for the little grub.....Doesn't benefit us though, if only we had had a strong referee on the field when they committed their offences instead of one that comes across as a scared little schoolkid...

| Harris
"I did not think there was too much in it."
"It was unfortunate that Brett Ferres got injured" "but for it to be a grade E offence is ridiculous."
no Harris what's ridiculous is that YOUR player has had THREE separate incidents of dubious lower leg tackling up before the disciplinary in one weekend.
What's ridiculous is that the ref didn't deem it a penalty at the time. And what's more ridiculous is that chase is out of the game for a fraction of the time our player is likely to be- because your player is a dirty nasty house. I hope it costs salford big time.

| Chase is a grub. Real cheap shotter. Always has been.
Our pack is (most of the time) efficient, hard working, decent sized and have got some real skill about them at times (Huby, Ferres and bailey in particular). But we don't seem to have that edge that the best packs always have. Ferres at times shows a bit of devil, but it's not really his game.
Right or wrong, I would always want someone in our team 'policing' what chase did. Collar him, rag doll him, smack him, instigate hand bags, whatever. But loudly and clearly, you don't get away with that with one of mine. And on top of that the next time chase or one of their main lot takes it in you make a point of smashing him. Difficult to coach that. You need to bring that In to the club. The difficult bit is signing someone who has the ability aligned with that aggression.

| spot on jools, how Harris, or anyone for that matter can defend what Rangi Chase did is ridiculous.
is he saying that's it's acceptable for players to go out and injure other players so his team gains an advantage?
he should be brought to book for those comments, appalling stuff from him!
as for our pack, yes they are efficient and maybe that's it but they don't frighten people, they don't bully people, they get on with their work quietly, with the likes of Mason, Griffin, O'Donnell we were feared, other teams knew that even if they got the upper hand they were gonna have to do it rough and tough, the pack we have now might be better footballers than Griffin and Mason but they don't have that nasty element that all packs need.

Can't argue with that.

If chaos/handbags had kicked off, incompetent Childs would have listened to hislinesman more seriously, and I think then chase would have been dismissed. As it was he stayed on and put the grubber kick through for their score soon after, and we played against 13 players for the rest of the game
