No one goes out to not win as it's not in their best interests to do so it's just a sad and deluded Wigan fan upset their club isn't getting this shield trying to get a bite as their own club goes through the fabled Giants slump! They even say so in their own summary that you need to go into the play offs with momentum which sadly Wigan aint atm! Trying to take the gloss of our amazing success! They are just pathetic!

Why are people even entertaining these idiots! who cares what they think, If we do win the LLS then i for 1 will be celebrating from the roof tops! They playoffs dont mean a thing to me. Heres a scenario....hudds win LLS then get 8 players injured and fail miserably in the playoffs due to this and say warrington win the final, what does this prove? absolutly nothing! The whole meaning of superleague champions is the wrong way round, the playoff winners should be the minor champions and top of the table should be the super league champions. There aren't any financial rewards for where you finish after the regular rounds - final competition places and prize money (in reality the cut from the play-off money) are determined by the play-offs/Grand Final.

Wigan appear very focused on finishing 4th instead of 3rd after fielding a reserve/academy grade team tonight at home to Hull. Should be fun next week when Wigan and Leeds attempt to outbid each other for that 4th spot.

I'd imagine the 1982 West Germany v Austria World Cup match will have more credibility than next Thursday's match.

Yeah, almost Machiavellian genius by Wigan in losing to Hull by just one point. I mean if it was me once I'd gone 6 behind I wouldn't have tried to regain the lead on numerous occasions. I certainly wouldn't have kicked a drop goal at 32-26 but true brilliance from Shaun Wane and the lads in making it appear they might actually want to win it.

Leeds as well quite clearly want to finish 4th as they scored 2 late tries to snatch a victory against Catalan when it would've been far easier to just lose, especially as their massive deficit in points difference would have guaranteed them the 4th place.

Of course it could just be that as professional sportsmen they want to win every game they can and understand that the top 4 are all there on merit and would be tough opposition anyway, whoever they play. While moronic fans on the internet continue to belittle the pride and achievements of their players because in some way it compensates for the clear inadequacies in their own pathetic little lives.

If you finish top of the league , then you should be recognised as the Champion team of the season. The champion team isn't the team that can string 3 wins in a row at the end of the season, having been mediocre all season. Fine the rules don't agree with this , but let's face it the rules are stupid. Try convincing any non rugby league supporter and they look at you as though you're stupid.
If you win the LLS I will be upset, as I want to win it, but full respect for a fantastic effort from your lads for the effort over the full season.
It seems the young supporters have been brainwashed by Sky to think that we have a great competition, when we haven't.
I fear if things don't change we are going downhill. as will the crowds,
but I've only been watching the game for 50 years.
ps I won't be going to the Mickey Mouse Cup final at OT. nor will any of the 5 supporters who I went with last year, even if we get there , as last year the atmosphere was like a pre season friendly, and the whole thing was hyped up rubbish.
So as far as a lot of the older (non brainwashed by Sky) rugby supporters are concerned if you win it , congratulations the true champions.
