The reason the Western terrace was shut was simply the lack of interest from the shudds fans, only 31 of your fans could be bothered to turn up to watch that scintillating brand of football you produce, simply a cost cutting measure on behalf of Wakefield Trinity, it's just a shame your players couldn't match the enthusiasm of those supporters that braved the elements and turned up unlike your team.

anyway game on, we have snow here in hudds but not in wakey by sounds of it

all behind the posts for this one then! great view'"
So if you played Friday, but we played Saturday in France???
Western Terrace was closed because that's where all the snow from the pitch was dumped...though in truth Mr Carter probably used that as an excuse knowing you had only sold 21 tickets through the Giants!!
Yes 21.

| Quote: vastman "You didn't have all the posession in the first half but you shaded it. I'd say 55% - 45%. However you were certainly competitive and the game looked like being a nail biter.
Second half I've no idea what happened. You stopped playing and started rough housing but not in a clever way. Yo were heavily penalised and rightly so and there was no need for it.
Another forty minutes like the first and with the heavy conditions being a great equaliser you were in with a chance.
Thought over all we looked bigger, stronger and fitter and more diciplined. Brough was an idiot all game yet his kicks were truly punishing at times. However Finn showed him how to run a tight game, Brough is a weak link these days..'"
i agree, brough is a weak link especially regarding how to manage a game and how to unlock defences... we had ridyard on loan for a while last season and he managed games for us perfectly.

Particularly the guy in the black jacket who was threatening to do in young kids and a woman in the seats. Hopefully when he’s sobered up his mates will tell him not to come back.
On the pitch I’m not sure what happened. At half time it looked like it could go either way, thern you just seem to give up. I was impressed with Dale Ferguson though, one of the few who seemed to give 100%.'"
those small section of fans are embarrassing.
ferguson has been our man of the match for the past 3 games, quality player

Don't be ridiculous your hardly in a position to crow on that one. Your crowds remain pathetic considering you have a first class stadium and a sugar daddy who's invested hundreds of thousands over the years.
Considering the conditions and the slum we play in then 4K on a freezing day after a postponement ain't to bad. It needs to be better but we both know which club has more potential. Wakefield is a RL town that just needs waking up. We are the true giants mate whether we ever do get the chance to ever reach that potential god only knows.

| Distance wise you're the third closest team behind Cas and Leeds, yet you managed to bring a worse following than Salford.

I'd be more worried about your team than the number of supporters your losing, it's going to be a long hard and disappointing season for them judging by that display on Sunday, I'd ask for your thoughts on the game but as you did not go it would be pointless, having said that I'm reliably informed you don't go to many home games

Well yes to be honest that's the whole point of supporting your team isn't it?
The dreadful state of BV is well documented but it doesn't seem to put other fans off. Hull/Hull KR, Leeds and Cas bring upwards of 2,000 maybe more. Even non local teams like Wigan, Warrington and Saints will bring at least 500 if not more. Even Salford bought double what you managed.
When 500+ Wakey fans travel to your stadium we don't do it to sample the luxury of the surroundings we do it to support our team - we'd take just as many if you still played at Fartown.
Sorry but yours is a poor excuse.
