| just gonna copy and save this then post it after every game.
Everytime we look like having someone with a bit of fire we get shut of em. Kafusii farmed out to Bulls, Griffin sold/released to Leeds, Walker sold/released to Hull KR. We are really lacking some aggression and mongrel up front. Need a couple of Stuart Fielden, Luke O'Donnell, Justin Poore, type players to rattle a few bodies. We are too soft and other teams must love a week off when playing us. Backs have no chance playing behind a pack in reverse gear.

Griffin wasn't called tea pot for nothing, do you think that he ever showed some fire?
Championship player at best

put it another way he was our best forward in his last season before Leeds signed him. he put himself about for us. Would I have him back not in a million years but he still showed more aggression today than our 6 put together.

| We were out enthused again. It's becoming an unpleasant habit.

| It's been the same theme all season. They're just turning up and waiting to win. Dumb. Where's the desire?
It said it all to me when Crabtree & Brough got their late hits. Our lot weren't bothered! Do that to a Wigan man and they all pile in. Not us though, oh no. They can stand in a circle at HT before the trot off and do the same at FT before they come and give us a clap but that doesn't mean they're united. That's the tinsel part of it. The real part they're not doing.
Every week the same comments get made and every week the same performance is put out. They don't start playing 'til they're 12 pts down. And then only in fits & starts. They've fallen in love with themselves; they think they're better than they are. They don't run hard enough and they nip in the face of some mongrel. They don't fight fire with fire. They're dumb!
We were a bit unlucky to lose Grix and not have Murphy to back up due to his hand. Leroy, well, what's going on with him ATM? He didn't deserve paying in washers yesterday. Why do we always give it Broughton first out from a scrum? He's not that sort of winger! We aren't playing to his strengths. We can't have Wood & Robbo on the field at the same time IMO as that give the opposition a small man to run at on each side of the pitch to make easier yards.
Get Bailey at 6, put Brough at 7. Make Bailey captain and take Brough away from the refs. Get a leader for next season, a leader of men. And Anderson, sort it out. It's beyond annoying now to hear the same crap every week and for nothing to change. They aren't playing with desire or authority. They don't learn! We're the most penalised side in the league. WHY? WHY DON'T WE LEARN? If these guys don't appear to be motivated and consistently don't switch on until they're 12pts down and sometimes don't switch on at all then that is a coaching issue. He carries the can because ultimately they're representing him and his methods.

| Also, some of the stuff Salford dish out is out of order. They take playing it hard a step too far. Late hits, swinging arms and high stuff. Not good and I think the ref let them get away with too much yesterday not that this is any excuse for the result.

| And another thing, the PTB!
We put the ball down and take an age to put a foot on it. In the interim period the opposition defence has run up and shut us down. We can't even play the bloody ball right! Bailey is the only one who plays it properly; as soon as it is on the ground he's got it played. Look at Eorl; he takes an age to play the ball.
Basic, basic stuff. And we don't do it. I'm proper worried for us and can't see us winning squat knowing we have the potential to serve up that dross when the opposition get in our faces. We wilt when we should front up. It's not good at all.

| Shame the players can't get as fired up as you seem to be Danril!
Friday will tell us all we need to know about the rest of our season I think. Regardless of the outcome (I think we will lose- Cas is a tough place to go at the best of times but without brough and possibly grix it's asking much) the way they respond is key. Last season after a loss they played well. We need to run harder, tackle harder and improve our line speed. I want to see those players leaving the field absolutely knackered!

| Blimey Danril! Any chance you could do they team talk next Friday? The team could certainly do with some of that passion!
The bottom line is I don't think there was one area where we couldn't say we didn't need to improve on. Salford fully deserved their win - in fact they deserved a wider scoreline - but to me that was more to do with our performance than theirs.

| Exactly! We beat ourselves!
I also thought some of the chanting by us yesterday prior to the realisation that we were getting pumped was ridiculous too. We were basically goading them like we were going to win. And these fans have seen how we play! Some of them are dumber than the players are playing, and that takes some doing.
We need to be more careful about what we chant and focus more on ourselves than the opposition.

| Zero comments from the coaching staff about this game so far. The silence is deafening.

| Anderson did have some comments --
Giants coach Paul Anderson admitted his side's performance "wasn't good enough" but was critical of Salford's aggressive approach, claiming they were guilty of a host of "cheap shots".
"It seemed that way," he said. "Broughy was knocked to the ground after he passed the ball.
"My disappointment once Broughy and Eorl (Crabtree) and Robbo (Luke Robinson) got knocked out was that, our blokes didn't rip in and absolutely knock 10 bells out of the bloke that did it because one cheap shot deserves another."

Not seen those comments on the web (Ah, found at skysports website). I have also made the point that we didn't do anything about it when these shots came in. We didn't fire in. There wasn't even a raised voice most likely. They didn't stick up for each other.

| spot on dan, we just seem to let opposition bully us , koppy and crabtree just aren't aggressive type forwards in the mould of mason, griffin,o'donnell etc, even larne who is our most destructive forward doesn't come across as an enforcer.
but lets face it yesterday, we were outclassed and outenthused in every area of the pitch, i know we had disruptions but surely we could have coped with 1 or 2 positional changes but we just seemed to accept defeat too easily.
i don't mind losing when the opposition are better than us, which salford were, but i do mind losing without a fight, which we did, and thats the worse part, knowing that we haven't even put up a fight trying to win the game.
i suppose if we win the grand final then ultimately it won't matter, but when we get beat we get beat too easily, defensively we were a shambles yesterday and that was against a team lying 3rd from bottom with only 5 wins all season!
