admitting you have lost the dressing room is a terrible thing for a coach to do- it intimates you have no motivational skills or management skills.

Irrelevant

Schofield said it so any correlation with actual events is pure, unadulterated luck.

We could do with the cash that would enable us to bring Mullally in early (if those rumours are true) we've plenty can play loose- Moore, fooey, fairbank, lod, lee or even Lawrence! Put eorl fairbank/mason Mullally and Patrick at prop for the rest of the season!

Nothing stirring at our end at the moment about taking Brown early. Not sure it would fit in with our planned spend which is all out of next years budget. But as they say never say never.

More likely that Anderson will want to switch the captaincy to someone who is sticking around.

Not too many days to wait to see if an early move will happen!

Here's a thought

Given that Browns best position is still probably at centre (IMO) why not shift him there while we are down our first choice I Wardle?

Probably the best way to go.KB unfortunately doesn't shine often at 6 in big games.Just lacks that vital yard of pace.

On Sunday KB defending on the left edge let Atkins run around him for one try,and got sucked in by a decoy runner to leave a huge gap for Hodgson to stroll over in the second half.I appreciate he was defending outside of Gilmour, but with them two in there I expected that edge to be more solid.

Problem then is who moves to stand off to replace him.

Wonder if it might be worth a shout sticking tommy lee in at halfback?he started out as a 7 didnt he? I have nothing against kev brown at all but like his namesake i think he has gone as far as he can with us.

Everyone seems to have a real downer on kev at the moment- personally I think his lack of form has been down to his positional change rather than kev himself- he's never really looked comfortable there.
Now I'm sure widnes will kick on and build next season- but is Kevin honestly thinking that he has more chance of silverware with them than us? I doubt he is, and surely that's what he wants. To suggest he's given up I think is misguided- I just think he's been unhappy in the role NB has insisted he play-If baloo puts kev back to 6- where he had a great start to the season last year before his injury I think we will see a renewed Kev.

I heard the same, if its true then no hard feelings on my part, good luck to him at widnes, i really dont think he's been the same player that he was a year or so ago,no doubt his confident is shot but he just seemed to lack any cohesion with his team mates, could be the positioning change but we might never know.

It wasn't Kevin's choice- and I think its a very unfortunate way for him to leave the club- he hasn't had his best season but think that's due to him playing in a position he has felt uncomfortable with.
If we remember back to before the injuries last season pundits were tipping brough and brown as the potential England half back pairing.

He goes with my best wishes. Wish we had been able to give the captain of our team a proper send off.
