| The team still looked out of sorts and not chomping at the bit bar one or two. Brough, Mason, Doof, Eden, Crabtree, Murphy and Patrick did ok and were trying.
Lawrence today summed himself up, he is a great worker in defence and must top tackle count regularly, he doesn't run hard enough with ball in hand, today he got the ball in space ran hard threw a dummy and scored a great try, from then on he looked dangerous with ball in hand, next run he actually beat a couple of tackles. It is all about confidence and if he believed in himself more he would still be playing centre and being compared to the likes of Gidley, Senior, Ingles and Lyon!!!!!
Believe in yourselves more!!!!
A crowd of over 6000 and more than a 1000 up on last years game, this surprised me and we back in the running in the famous crowd competition lol

| Only poor performancesfor me were Moore and Gilmour. Moore Gave away penaltys and made the worst error of the game.
Gilmour made a few errors.
Nice to see most players playing in their correct positions.Still lacking confidence though.
Really nice to see Greg Eden come through a game error free and Murphy looks solid even though he seemed to playing with an injury.
Not a return to form but a performance to build on

Apart from his pass to me 20 rows up in the 2nd half

| Moore played his best game since coming back to us I think. Yeah he made some errors, but they weren't all his fault - certainly I think any calling out of him today is more to do with people wanting a scapegoat.
Same goes for Eden, he was solid, did his job and was excellent at the back line along with Murphy and George.
Mason was trying too hard to start, but he got better and better as the game went on
Gilmore was ok, I think we have better centres and back rows than him now - wasnt it him that shot out of the line to miss the tackle for their first try?
Robbo was dissapointing for my money, was he injured, he certainly went off nursing his arm

| Thought Moore did ok. Thought defensively cudjoe had one of his best games for a while- he made that silly flick pass error and after that put in two crunching tackles to make up for it- then seemed to be wrapping the ball up every few minutes. Gilmour and doof looked lacklustre - doof had two opportunities to jump on a loose ball- one for a certain try and just stood looking at the London players going for it with his hand on his hips.
Robbo has hurt the elbow he did last time-will have to wait and see how that works out

| I thought we did OK today. We got out of 2nd gear but not 3rd.
There was plenty fast, free-flowing rugby. We moved the ball across the pitch throughout the game.
Leroy's 'error' was an attempt at a quick pass to Murphy. If it had have come off, Murphy could well have scored. If he didn't pass, Leroy was tackled and possibly into touch.
Not having a go at people on here, but after two successive moves where the ball went from left to right and then back again, a couple of people behind us shouted 'for goodness sake Fartown, move the ball about'.
Halfway through the 2nd half Moore made a mistake. A bloke in front went ballistic - Moore had been crap all game. Little Ivor had a go at this chap and defended Moore.
LI is one of the most unbiased people I have ever met. He sees the game totally objectively. My point being that people see what they want to see not what is actually happening on the pitch. We've been playing bad so we played bad yesterday. A player has been playing awful recently so he had a bad game yesterday.
It's not that long since we were saying how well Gilly had been playing in his unaccustomed role. Some people were slating him last year. Now we've had a bad patch so that's all forgotten.
Ganson - apart from not policing the offside and laying on, he had a good game letting it flow without interfering [good to tell the TV wasn't there!]. Objectively I agreed with almost every diecision he made, even though I didn't like some of them. [He missed a forward pass from which we scored, was it to Bruno? I can't remember.]

Couldnt agree more with this post, it infuriates me how people have their favourites and their scapegoats, looking for any reason possible to praise someone they like, and similarly any reason to knock down anyone they dont. Now isnt the time to complain we need to get behind the lads and try and build some momentum for the semis!

| Saying we didn't get out of 2nd gear is a slight on London I think. For much of the game they worked hard in defence (helped by offsides and laying on)
A lot of our errors were down to their hard work IMO

Without bothering to read through all posts again, if that is referring to what I wrote, then I said that we DID get out of 2nd gear but not 3rd.

| And I say you do London a disservice
Sure we didn't fire on all cylinders by any stretch, but in part Londons defence was quite good

I have to agree, I came away thinking it was a decent all round performance from us, aside from one or two glitches both attack and defense looked a lot better; against a very committed London side at times.
