| He didn't do much at Cas, was up and down at Saints and has clearly had problems at Widnes.
But what did he do at Huddersfield? Played some of the best rugby of his career, featured in the Challenge Cup Final, represented England and made the Dream Team.
People moaned about signing George and Chan. Few, if indeed anyone, thought Eden would make such an impact. Nathan Brown doesn't have a bad track record on signings (I can go on) and getting the best out of his players.
As for Lunt, his form has been average at best, which is perhaps why he is lower down the pecking order than Lee. Lunt is a good footballer but IMO Moore is better.
Yes, Moore has had his disciplinary problems but Brown has acknowledged this and, most importantly, knows him. Perhaps the question ought to be do we trust Nathan's judgement? I know what my answer would be.

| I dont think Moore is better at all, he hit the hights with us then bought into his own press and plummeted fast and hasnt been able to lift again
Id much rather stick with Lunt who will get his form back. Moore hasnt had any form since halfway his last season with us.

| I wish I shared your confidence in Lunt's ability. I like Lunt, who had a great first season with us, but I haven't seen him do enough in the last couple of seasons. If he was doing enough he wouldn't be 4th choice hooker.

| Lunt is in my opinion a better hooker than Moore, I also believe he is a better hooker than Tommy Lee, however Tommy Lee has been getting the nod as he is more versatile, specifically he can cover Kev Brown at loose without changing the patterns of play. Scott Moore probably offers the same options so I can see a reason why Nathan might go that way.
personally I'd keep Lunt, however I ain't sure I would do as good a job as Nathan!

| What's all this about Lunt being out of form? Bollox. When he has been in the side this season he has played well & contributed effectively to the team. He can't do owt if he's not in the 17. Get a grip.

His defence is ropey. (in the 20s and first team)Now we are playing with a 'small' 13 that is a luxury we cannot afford.
poor concentration. Hope he can sort himself out.

| I remember when he came to us he was brilliant and I was banging the drum to get him signed up - he has the skill but it's the off field antics which is a major concern for me and its not like its a one off incident.
Anyone read his tweets on twitter? Truely vile!!!
I would be asking do we really need to upset a stable team?

Would xpect any exits or signings at this stage to only go ahead if the coaches and senior players are in agreement.

| Maybe he have him to Saints at the end of the season. Would be disappointed if we had him back, thought he was very ordinary after an initially very good couple of months. After that he was our 3rd best hooker and then got picked for England!! I suppose he'd be ok for cover and wouldn't take much money as he's running out of options, but I thought Lunt looked ok when he's played, wheres all this bad defence stuff come from, nobody mentioned this when he's played, only now!?
More of a worrying is are we going to tie up Eden on a longer contract? He signed 2 year deal but I'd be gutted if he ends up at Saints.

| Lunt has a tackle completion rate of 89% this season compared to 96% last season. So he has gone significantly backwards in this area which is a concern.
In comparison Tommy Lee has gone from 90% last season to 97% this season which refelcts the better standard of coaching he has been receiveing.
However Scott Moore only has a 89% tackle completion rate so is no better than Lunt in this area of the game.

the difference between Lunt / Moore (though both are on 89%) may be that Lunt has probably been doing lower minutes in a vastly superior team. Given the paucity of cover Moore has probably been doing higher minutes with less quality around him.
In terms of 'scooting' and posing a threat near the line i think an on form Lunt is second only to Roby. In terms of speed and accuracy of pass to first receiver ( + passing in general) and defence Moore is superior. In rugby terms it depends on what fits best with our new way of playing.
