| Quote: Ivor C&G Scarf "Remember what people like you did to Thorman?
He's only been here a few weeks. Look how long it took De Vere to play well. Even Hodgson B had a few games where he openly admitted he wasn't at his best. What was Fa'alago saying for the first few games? It's the same for most newcomers to any team - especially arriving after pre-season training.
Give it a rest and see what he's been like at the end of the season.'"
Fa'alogo was nothing special after the first few games...Then he got his cornrolls done.
Once Brough gets comfortable and the weight of expectation is no longer on his shoulders he will perform more consistent. We don't need 10/10 performances from him every week - we need regular 8/10 performances.

| i dont think anyone can deny brough's undoubted talent.
i think what people are misunderstanding is that brough's signing may have disrupted the team, not any fault of the player who im sure will become an integral part of our team, it's just at the moment ( probably pure coincindence) we seem very disjointed in the last few games which we have seen brough replace robinson at 7. again i say, it's not a dig at the player himself,i will fully support danny brough while he wears the fartown colours

| Not impressed. Average player. Never lived up to the potential he had when at Fax.
Plus if he does the kicking 5 minutes gametime lost while he lines them up Soooooo sloooooooowly

But it is clear that he is being scapegoated in some circles when it is clear that there are more obvious things which have disrupted the team. This thread could have more easily being retitled as Mid season coach changes or mid season player departures. Both of these i would argue are far more significant than Brough. If Brough has led to some changes in the team then so be it but the player you would have thought wouuld have been the most affected is Robbo yet he is the player who has performed the best since Brough came.
Get off Broughs back. Support all the players and lets hope the problems get sorted soon.
We were rightly dissappointed about Sunday's result but the anger should have passed now and it is time for reasoned and calm decisions to be made not looking for scapegoats which will only make things worse.

| Wadski, are you saying that for Danny Brough to become a world beater, he needs to change his hair style? Would you like him to sport the shaved look, a change of hair colour or perhaps a bowl top like Ryan Bailey (Leeds Rhinos) currently has?

I was thinking more like the mutton chops that JJB uses to disguise his unusually shaped head.

thats my point though, im not on brough's back im just saying we dont seem to have kicked on since his arrival, which NB told us was the final part of the jigsaw.
if other people want to blame danny brough for our poor form lately then thats their perogative, i certainly aren't blaming danny brough

| comments from Nathan Brown regarding Danny Brough
Quote: " Danny Brough copped a bit of flak for kicking the ball out on the full twice. Apart from that, how do you feel he’s fitting in?
His attacking game is much, much better for us, but we said from day one it would take him a bit of time to fit into the way we play.
It’s still the case that we’re learning how to use Danny and Danny is learning how to play with us.
But even though these things take time, he had a big impact in all the tries we scored, and the harder we work the greater will be the reward for everyone.

Very underated in defence. I have seen him pick up forwards and dump them on their backsides. Also king of the intercepts to go the full length. Brough is the best player in SL, I hope it doesnt work out for him in a Robbie Keane spurs pool spurs kind of way.

| So what's the crack with Danny Boy? Does your coach not know how to handle his temperament? It come with the territory with Danny, NB must not have the man management skills that Kear has! That's the only explanation I can think off.

| Its easy for us to blame brough for our bad perfromances, but with the stuff going on off the field can't really be helping the matter, and the fact that we have played in the last 4 games wigan twice and wire twice with bulls, saints and hull to come after, we aint had a team that we can easily beat in a while all these teams are above us, but after that we have 3 relatively must win games agenst kr, cas and celtic b4 we play leeds, so we just need to stick by the team and aim for the top 4, and hopefully go on another good run!!!

Why dont you ask the RFL if you can play the bottom teams every week, just to give you some sort of a sporting chance with the big clubs
