| London will be up for spoiling it for us, so we need our top performance. Evetything crossed we get two points and another step closer to making history.

| scrappy game yesterday, lots of dropped balland mistakes from both sides. weather conditions didnt help.
1800 crowd, say maybe 300 from hudds.
got the 2 points and thats the main thing, got abit worried with 10mins to go mind!
taai hand a good little scrap.
brough should be ok with two weeks off, looked like a shoulder problem.
murphy took a big knock too, but played on
pulled in at the car park at same time as ken davy, he thanked us for the support..legend!

15431.jpg In a debate about why the CC final isnt in HD.

[quote="TheBigFella":1jjuuzre]Im a Northerner and Ive got HD. C0ck. We could also probably buy 3 to 4 houses for what you would pay for 1, doesnt that tell you something.[/quote:1jjuuzre]

the london fan agrees too...still a good turnout from us as you would expect being top of the league

| We took a diversion on our way back from our hols, so did not buy from the club, we certainly were not outnumbered 5-1 by London fans so if the gate was 1800 there were well more than 300 Giants fans there, it is though very difficult to judge when you are sitting in the stand. I thought it was a decent turn out.
As for the game itself, very much a ground out win than great brilliance, Eorl was good, Larne had more impact than I have seen from him in a while, Brough, Robbo & Wood in the main took conservative options. I thought the final score was about right, London competed well, we were a little unlucky to have the try chalked off before half time and Soward should certainly have seen yellow for the blatant hold down on Robbo under the sticks. We didn't even need a qick ptb for a walk in there, just be allowed to play the ball at all, but a very poor ref did not want to give another yellow 2 minutes after the fight. May not go down well with some, but I thought Scott Grix had a very good game.
On the subject of Mr Stokes, absolutely useless, I don't think there was any bias, just a guy who is not yet ready for that level, best illustrated that both sides kicked when they had six more tackles, his calls and signals were too late/slow for the players. In fairness to him rather than faffing about running touch one week and reffing the next if he is to develop he needs a run of games as a ref, but he needs to improve from yesterday.

| My immediate impression of the crowd was that we had as many as the Broncos. OK, we probably didn't have 900, but certainly 300 is far, far too low. 600-700 more like.
No-one had a bad game, mnay had very good games. We totally dominated the match, just couldn't get the ball over theline often enough - thanks to some superb defence from London.
Just remember, we were the only top 4 side to win against weaker opposition. We went for two points and got them.
We also got over the '800 for' mark. A fantastic achievement - especially for a side which 'doesn't finish the opposition off'.
Not only are we top of the league, but we are SL's top points scorers.

| We definitely had more folk there as we were all in one stand and London in the other side and I recall commenting at the time we've got more than them and looking back at my photos the opposite stand was quite empty. Now unless there were more in the boxes then fine but we know all about peoples crowd estimates so lets all have an opinion, I've had official figures in the past but still been told I'm wrong. I didn't buy from the club but I did swap the young uns away voucher only to leave it in the hotel and had to pay a fiver for him!!
I really hope London stay around if not for a yearly weekend away, but the sneers from the other rugby lot. Our train was full of them. The stewards at the stoop believe the broncos will still be there next season. But I recall when we went last year and there were boxes of season tickets still not claimed by fans, are their figures based on season tickets sales as per some clubs as Sat there were certainly nowhere near 1800 in the ground sadly!

| think taai deserves a mention on this game... set up eorl for one try and also scored one himself.. certainly likes to have big performances on away days!
