For a club with ambitions of being one of Super League's top clubs and basing the team around British talent, i find this a strange signing.
Lunt and Faiumu with Carlisle in reserves can easily handle the hooking role and Brown and Robbo the halves.

Absolutely spot on he should never had left the club when he did and one of the best Aussies we have had imo. Would be well worth a one year contract as he would support what we have already.

Disagree. I think we lack a top qulaity half back. However i don't think Drew would be a good signing. I would rather push Robinson to hooker and bring in a scrum half. Otherwise we will be weaker next season as Drew i don't feel will perform as well week in week out as Moore has doen this season.
The Brown injury only complicates things further and with Fulton leaving we could be very short of creative players at the start of next seaon but i still question the wisdom of resigning Drew. |

I think it's obvious what's happening here. Switching Robinson to hooker long term, who would be the ideal candidate to train him up and pass on a few tricks of the trade? Baring in mind the similarities in body shape and playing style, Drew would be the ideal guy to mentor Robbo in his new role. Thoughts?

You are right in thinking I rate BD. Anyone who has seen him play this year knows he is still a quality player. I guess Nathan Brown is one such person. |
