| i expect to see some signings no doubt its just a shame this mamo deal has hit a glitch
surely the wakeman rumour must come in now!
we got rid of the conditioner this off season and brought someone new in, well done the club for doing this, just a shame davy didnt get rid of thewlis too which i pointed out at the end of last season too should happen.
i dont think signing harrison would be a good one either
getting abit late in the day to be doing deals for players... we would want them in for pre season and settled!
ferguson, clough, gaskell in maybe wakeman and mamo to follow.
dont forget brierley, symonds, ikahihifo and ormsby who came in back end of last season too though

The problem with this is he has got his testimonial with Warrington in January against us. So I presume he will be training with them until then, which means he will have spent all of pre season with Warrington and not us but at least he will be fit.
Unless we sign him and he plays for us against Warrington in his testimonial which benefits all parties. He will get to train with us immediately. He will still get his testimonial and Wire fans can give him a send off.
Cant see if happening though.'"
Unless the testimonial is with us because that's who he will be playing for?!
I'd take Harrison. No nonsense forward who has played in some big games and will be on significantly less that crabtree and huby.

It would seem that you had quite a lot of unhappy players' last season that could not be bothered to put the effort in so why single him out.
Can't see where you draw the conclusion even with your vast knowledge of Wakefield Trinity that he would assume by coming to the Trin he would as you expertly put it be thinking he won't have to do as much

| I meant this pre-season, under our new coach and conditioner, apparently they have had them really pushing it and Craig struggled to adapt to the extra physical stuff - like i said apparently.

You honestly think that Huddersfield are working harder than all the other clubs just because they have a new coach?
All the clubs will be/have been beasting their players!
The only time Huby won't have to work as hard will be in matches because the prop rotation at Trinity will be greater than that at the Giants.

It seems he does. I have pondered this for a long time now, You have to think that KD is happy with things, or he is unable to change them for reasons known only to him.
Like most other people on here I get frustrated with what happens at the club, I would love to see some changes but i take the view that K D is the man putting his hand in his pocket, No KD no club, so if he is happy , or can put up with things as they are, Then i think i can manage too, In the end no one forces us to either get a ST or even go to a game.
The upside is that we are going to start getting good news at some point. Mr Davy knows we can not afford another season like last, It could finish us, and i don't think he is going to let that happen. onward and upwards.

I think Trinity could have a decent season myself, and i hope they do, I just wish they could get something sorted out regarding the ground. Regards Huby, he never seemed to quite get started for us, but he was excellent at Cas, maybe he will get that back.

Where has your objectivity gone meast? Huddersfield finished BOTTOM of the league last year. On top of the other departures they have just let someone who could be a quality prop go and now have ONE established Super League prop. No full back, a centre who wants to leave due to being underpaid. Massive gamble on 3 incoming CHAMPIONSHIP players. And the club couldn't have done any better? The only person you're kidding is yourself mate. Maybe your lad too. Come on, be fair.

| To me it sounds like Ken Davy is trying to reduce costs. Most rich chairmen seem to run clubs at a loss and foot the bill, but at some stage want to reduce their liability and I think this maybe the case. Certainly looking to reduce the wage budget before getting new players, however it seems some of there took longer to finalise than thought so available player pool is decreasing unless some deal we agreed in principal.

| Regarding pre-season and "easier" life at Wakefield. I don't think after last year your in a position to derive a team who finished 4 places above you. We have also brought in some good quality players.

Spot on Baron.
I personally am happy with the clear out every single player IF we had replacements for them all but obviously we don't yet and time is ticking away and we are going to have 2/3 players who are coming in new who have not been involved in pre season at all.
The real lack of depth is a massive issue and even 3 players coming in is not going to change that. As it stands Warrington, Wigan, St Helens, Hull, Cas, Wakey, Catalans all have stronger squads than us at present. (Wakey and Cas because of their depth). Leaves us, Leeds, Widnes, Leigh & Salford for 8th spot and all it takes is for 1 club to finish above us and were in the middle 8s again then anything can happen.
I don't think we will get relegated I think Widnes will get relegated this year and especially if the lose Kevin Brown. They have has poor recruitment like us.

So what has this Forum become meast and what did it used to be. I haven't posted for that long but i have read it on and off for quite a few years, I remember all the discussions ( even arguments ) over J Sharp , N brown and a whole host of other things, It doesnt seem to me to be much different today.
I don't really know what you would expect to get on a forum, other that what you do get ( every ones opinion ) It's just that most of them seem to upset you. But to be fair mate when a club hits bottom like we did last year you are hardly going to get hosts of people singing the clubs praises.
You appear to be happy to gobble up everything the club says and does as gospel, and anyone who doesn't is just spouting ( same old poop ) We each have our thoughts and opinions, you may not agree with them all but surely you must concede that some of them have a point .
The club must have been doing some things wrong for us to finish up where we are. If you can't see that, then as the Baron says you are the one, you are fooling.

| Unhappy Huby.. Not good enough really. Players will be unhappy but it's not often made public and used as the headline.
Doesn't give our club any credit.
Good luck to him, hasn't been an easy ride at the Giants.
Any chance Crabtree may play out his final year?

| Huby wasn't unhappy. He was told in OCTOBER by Rick Stone that he wasn't part of his plans and should find another club. End of. This happens in sport.
He was on circa £100,000 p/a. That's a large chunk of our budget. Stone wanted to spend that on younger and more hungry players. Am not sure what any of that is hard to Understand?
