| Great effort today we looked like we wanted it more and never felt we were out of it. Much better line speed than I have seen this year and Wire momentum restricted as a result. Brough was ace as usual with awesome 40/20 kick and others to keep them penned in their own half.
What a prospect Jared is, Bobby played well too and Kruise seems to have now cemented himself in the 17. Always great to see the local lads do well and them 3 should be first choice after those performances.

| what pleased me today the most, apart from the performance of the fringe/young players was that our game management which was poor in the first half was excellent in the 2nd, we didn't try and force things, even at 12-19, we just kept rolling forward and turning them round..... we also bullied them i thought, we wound them up and they snapped, and the last 10 they were more interested in the niggle!
thought bentham was abysmal, but not sure what or who caused all the brawls but he seemed to lose control a bit.
one thing i am disappointed with though is the dissent and back chat, twice we were pinged for it today and brough, wardle, connor and others were all remonstrating about various decisions!

Shocking call that'"
I said at the time it seemed like Brough was just a victim of the Ref thinking he had to send one off from each side and he was the nearest !!
Good to see us showing a bit of fight for once too.

| I think Danny was sin binned for gobbing off. Problem is we're dammed if we do question the ref like today but then if you don't then some refs will favour the opposition who are chirping in their ear. Today we got pinged a few times for back chat and I think it meant Bentham then favoured wire, but other games I've seen it work the other way.
All we want is a decent referee!

Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean
He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness
Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua
Of he who was made God in a world without Hope.
And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say?
Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say
"Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war": |

We were camped on the wire line a few times but just looked pedestrian- not one player ran a line- (apart from wardle in that first set but he dropped it then didn't get the ball again) we just ran straight up to the defence -then we kicked on the third tackle!!!!
Put it right in the second half we didn't let the conditions phase is and were more creative - wire weren't sure where the ball was going or coming from.'"
I'd agree with that, we didn't have a real cutting edge in the first half.
After critiscising the in-game management last week I thought we were much better today. The drop goals were the right score at the right time. No panic or attempt to get another try just push the scoreboard folrward and force Wire into panicking.

We seem to get more than our fair share of games with Bentham and Child refereeing and I wonder if the RL think they need to pair a strong referee with our games to stand up to Brough and as a result they are looking to clamp down on him asp.
it is also worrying that Danny has gone off on one in the last three games and in the next few minutes after it happened Catalans and Wigan scored back to back tries and Wire scored quickly after he was sin binned today. We have to stop feeling sorry for ourselves when things go against us and to be fair today we did just that but I wonder if when Robbo appealed for a knock on in the 2nd half and Bentham went to ask his touch judge whether there would have been the same result if Brough had been the one doing the asking or would it have ended up in a penalty against us for dissent.

| Thought Robinson was much better today. His running from dummy half gave us the attacking momentum to win the game.
