| Hello again.A draw was a fair result overall, but your right winger who scored the last try was extremely lucky to be still on the field after his tackle on Dureau's head .I told you Escare is a hopeless defender.

Don't be daft mate. Hardly a sending off offence was it.

| It was a desperate last ditch attempt, clumsy and high but not malicious although it was foul play

| My assessment
Grix - poor. I have defended him over and over but just not good enough
Gerry - didn't do much wrong, solid in defence and attack. Saved us a point
Murphy - Mr Dependable but oh if he'd passed first time to Gerry or not passed at all
Connor - mixed bag I think. Would be fullback next week
Broughton - did ok didn't he, lack of clean ball
Brough - good and bad in parts, but he's still a matchwinner
Wood - pretty annonymous, needs to boss the game more
Huby - missed him when he went off
Robbo - poor today imo, replace with Ellis next week
Koppy - usual game, tough but penalties given
Wardle - please back to centre next week please
Hughes - solid
Ferres - losing him was the turning point, lost an interchange and a major strike weapon
Mulally - poor, lazy defence. Made me glad he's off to Leeds
Crabtree - worked hard
Taai - worked hard
Leeming - needs to run more from dummy half but would be my starting 9
Next week I'd put Connor to fb, Cudjoe back in 3, Wardle back to 4 and Murphy back to 5
Leeming to start
Bruno on the bench
Drop Mulally

Spot on.
I wouldn't play mullally again this year. He doesn't look interested.
As for Grix. He brings nothing.

| murphy wasn't as dependable as usual, two missed tackles one a try one almost a try, Connor again some sloppy defence one leading to a try- Like both players but it bugs me that certain players get slated for errors whilst others can do no wrong. To me Hughes brings us little more than Bruno can- so play Lawrence our homegrown player before we lose him rather than wigans. We looked sluggish in the second half. Compare to the line speed in the Wigan/ Leeds, Saints/wire game- We are miles behind.

| I thought the forwards let us down 2nd half....once Catalan got on top they reverted to the usual habit of just trying to force the offload and giving needless penalties away. As a group they seemed defeated as the game slipped away rather than rolling their sleeves up !

Don't let it bug you, People are just giving their opinion, which is what happens on a Forum.
I agree with you about Hughes, I fail to see the point, He offers no more going forward than Lawrence and is no better in defence.
I think the likes of Grix and Robbo get a lot of stick because they are both very experienced players, whereas Conner is just learning his trade, I thought Both Grix and Robbo looked well past it today but they were not the only poor performers. Like you said our pack second half were just rolled over because they were walking up to the line . Still we scraped a point out of it, so not all is lost.

| Agree RE Hughes - He's not a bad player but is he better than Bruno ? again, its a place that one of our homegrown players could have to gain experience.

Yes Jools, watch the Wire Saints game they play at the same intensity for 80 minutes we don't seem to manage much more than 60 minutes.

No Jumbuck we lost a point the Cats were there for the beating after we went 16-0 up that was the time to up the intensity not slow down.

I can't understand these comments. The Giants need to pick the best team each week and Hughes IMO has been one of our most consistent performers.
It is irrelevant that he is on loan especially as the Giants squad is not the biggest. Also for all we know the club could be trying to secure his services long term.

| But Bruno was consistent, i'm not criticising Hughes as i've no issue with him as a player just don't think he offers anything more than Bruno does, so why not play Bruno more often ?
