Was offered improved terms, looks like he chose Leeds. A good honest player, always had go forward.'"

| Be interesting to see whether his recent improved defensive effort goes back to how it was a few weeks ago!

| Shame is that, always looked good, maybe he's decided he doesn't just want to be a bit part player, can't say i blame him personally, he wasn't given a fair crackwhen he was on and on many occasions looked our best prop.
Like has been said when Leeds offer you a 3 year deal a young upcoming player like him will find it hard to turn down.

I have just looked at Mullallys stats and given he is 24 and been at Giants for 3 seasons he has not improved much. Coach Anderson is obviously the best judge of his performances. A bit part player at best he will have to step up to satisfy the Rhino fans, Unlike his supporters who accept 10 minute spells befor running out of gas.
He accepted the Best deal who can blame him.!

Apart from him being probably our best prop recently for the short periods he has been given, It's a real shame and I would say B Mac see's something in him that PA doesn't . So be it, he's gone, onward and upward.
Rapira I don't know, We keep buying these big name forwards and if he brings some aggression to the forwards good , But we have been needing a top quality Halfback for a decade, yet we never seem to look in that direction.

It's a bit difficult when you only get 15 minutes now and then.

Perhaps if he'd made a few more tackles in each 15 minute he played he may have persuaded PA to give him longer. seems to PA that was more important than the xtra metres.

| Yeah for all his good go forward he's poor in defence - Maybe that's why he doesn't stay on long

I will blame the club because I think Thewles is just spouting BS.
I'm absolutely fuming at this news. I started a thread about AM a couple of months ago and said that I wouldn't blame him if he left.
I don't think anyone has wanted to play for the Giants more, but in my opinion he has been treated shockingly - playing week in, week out??? Yeah, 20 minutes is really worth it.
People on here have more faces than the town hall clock. At first news about Rapira it was all 'not another LOD', 'another pension pay-off' etc. Now all of a sudden, AM's off and Rapira is a great signing.
To me, it shows lack of ambition and business sense - have we not learnt our lesson and had fingers burnt in the past.
Everyone is agreeing that Mullally is the best prospect we've had in a long time, yet we let him slip through our fingers to our nearest rivals who obviously see more in him than we do. I bet he ends up with a winners ring before any of our players.
(And his defence isn't any worse than most other players)
Good luck to him - I'll be following his career closely (with envy!)

| So now he's leaving he's the greatest prospect since Jason Robinson!
As I said, he didn't get much of an opportunity, there must be a reason for that. Johnson is younger but had more game time.
Those saying he's our best forward, get a grip. He's not better than Crabtree, Huby or Taai.
He's 24, hardly a young pup. And he hasn't improved massively in the past 3 years.
If he is going to make it at Leeds he will need to learn to bend his back.
I'm not that bothered he's going if I'm honest. I'm more worried about potentially losing Ferres and Ukama.

Fair point, but on the other hand If Anderson looked for a bit more aggression we might have a bit more go forward, I noticed we did a lot better last night when he was on the field, and if our defence is as good as everyone says he surely can't have been that bad.
I know you seem to have a real dislike of Leeds and that's fine , but you must surely admit they have a lot of success, Yes they produce far more players and have far more choice than we do, taking all that into account , you have too wonder why they would want Giants players who can't tackle.

Leeds don't always get their player choices right, vickery anyone- and some of their prop forward choices have been "interesting", kyle amor out, Richard Moore in, darrell griffin in Luke burgess out,
