If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.:3676.jpg

I thought the ref today was extremely poor. Took us back 15, them 5. Gave them everything. We must be the only side to lose the penalty count to London this season at home. Abysmal ref. Pathetic.

And once again, we play supposed inferior opposition and stop playing when we get half in front.

Would a true SL champion side do what we consistently do? No. They wouldn't.

I would love for us to win the lot. I think we have the personnel to do it. I don't think we will though because we don't have the killer instinct. We can play desperate RL against the good sides in a normal game. We can't play clinical RL against the weaker sides and when it comes on top we nip against anyone.

Bailey's break 2nd half; where was the support? Bailey has the potential to be the difference between SF losers and GF winners for us but we need for our lads to believe that as well and stop waiting for DB, great though he is, to kick us 40-20's or whatever.

Come on lads. We can do it with what we have right now but we need to apply for 80mins. And we need more mongrel.

I was amazed that Roby was taking us back far more than 10 metres which made it easy for London. We got the result though even though the performances was not great.
We had three top performers in Ferres, Brough and Kopczak.

I can accept poor play but not lack of effort. What I saw from Cudjoe in the last ten minutes was a complete embarrassment. He took the ball and actually walked the ball into the tackle he could not even be bothered to try and run. He was then bounced off in the first tackle he tried afterwards and looked completely disinterested. I am not sure if it is a lack of confidence or bad attitude Either way he is a regular international and what I saw today he he stealing a wage and letting his team mates down.

There's was one other thing I noticed yesterday, we seemed to forget we had a left wing at times, I felt brought one pace was very much under used yesterday. Given half a chance he's in, I know he got caught on one occasion but that was down to one defender knocking him off balance and the other catching him within the next stride or two. He has hodgspns ability to get over the line but lots of speed with it.

I think cudjoe was concussed! He took a knock on the head making a tackle earlier on just in front of us and when he got to his feet looked very unsteady - I commented on it at the time - he certainly didn't look right after.

I also commented on this yesterday. Last season with murphy on the wing- how many times did we see brough put a kick in for murphy to chase and score? This season with one of the fastest men in the game I don't think I've seen him have a kick to chase more than a couple of times. Broughton is poor in the air (as is jerry) but why aren't we utilising broughtons strength!

Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua Of he who was made God in a world without Hope. And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say? Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say "Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war":

It's 4,800 more than any other team got against London yesterday. Therefore it's a very good attendance.

little bit disappointed in broughton yesterday.. grix kicked through playing advantage and broughton should have been flying down the wing but just wasnt on the same wavelength! didnt look fit to me either...hopefully a run in the team will help, he also could have passed inside when he had the chance too

bailey is brilliant, makes something from nothing...again where is the back up form his half breaks..always looking to offload

kopczak was our best prop, seems the rest has done him good, did some very powerful runs which we all know he can do.

the london first try when he just walzted past grix and left him on the floor!! icon_frustrated.gif

If Cudjoe was concussed then surely the Giants have a duty of care to remove him from the field of play.

Cannot blame Grix for the first try the London player had just run through the left side defence unapposed.
He also did brilliantly in second half to hold the London forward up over the line after he had run straight through Ferres.

Yes they should- if they were aware of it- but I don't think they were! They may not have noticed the particular incident (as you didn't) he didn't receive any treatment, and they may just have put his lethargy down to the fact he's been ill and was tired.

Fairly flat performance but then it usually is unless its one of the big teams..did enough to win the game but the crowd were bored, would have liked to see us try and step up a gear or 2 and provide a bit of entertainment.

One point, and i know i will get shot down for this but...again we see our HOME crowd 'supporting' the opposition because they are lower down the table or haven't brought many fans...the applause for London's tries was nearly as loud as it was for ours...even when they came back to within 10 points over half the BR stand were applauding, i was almost embarrassed by it, now dont get me wrong i know it's apparently 'sporting' of our fans but how psychological is this ? London know they have only a handful of fans there supporting them so to hear hundreds of people applauding them must surely give them a boost, on the other hand how must our lads feel when all they can hear are groans and moans for them when they make the slightest error but huge applause for the opposition, if that was me i would be a bit annoyed at it as those people should be encouraging our team, we would never applaud the bigger teams so why do we do it for teams based on their league position or away following, i want teams to come to our ground and be feared of playing at our home ground not welcomed and made to feel like friendly visitors and getting bigger applause than our team !!

spot on daz, i know a lot of our fans applaud the opposition onto the field as it is the sporting thing to do, but yesterday it was deafening, i agree and i said so during the game that our fans wouldn't applaud wigan or leeds tries unless they were very special tries-that's a natural reaction from most sports fans, even football fans applaud a brilliant goal from the opposition.
but yesterday our fans were like neutrals at times, applauding the underdog at every opportunity.

we never got applauded when we were crap, we still don't get applauded onto the field when we have few away fans so why do our fans feel it necessary to do it?

I heard the applause when they came on to the pitch but have to say I did not notice any cheering when London scored their tries.
