I can't see Lunt going anywhere as he has re-established himself as the first choice hooker in a team which is now starting to challenge for honours; I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign an improved deal in the off-season.

Agreed, Wardle isn't just developing into a fantastic centre, he's a natural centre; not a winger or second rower that has been moved.

The combination of Wardle, Ferres and Brough down the left flank has been great to watch this season. Broughton would be an excellent addition to that side as he has pace to burn, backs himself and is evasive returning the ball; I just wouldn’t want to see Murphy lose his position as he has been one of the most consistent performers this season.

That said, in Paul Anderson we trust and nothing has been confirmed by the club yet.

You are right, but when we signed Ferres, Murphy, Wardle and Chan I thought exactly the same. When watching games etc. most of us generally understand what the coaches are doing thinking etc. the better coaches sometimes surprise us. Paul Anderson is one of those coaches, so I will trust his judgement.

Indeed. And we missed Grix last night IMO. Connor did very well, don't get me wrong, but it was his second start at that level and he was clearly nervous at first. He wasn't as involved as Grix would be and thus Brough & Robbo had more to do and we had slightly fewer options.

It was a cracking try from Connor though and great strength.

I think it was more of a case that PA wanted to make as little changes as possible. And also would have been a big ask pitting blackmore up against the dog botherer!

Essentially we have lost Dawson but Blackmore looked to have gained favour over him, from the game I saw Blackmore looked good a couple of mistakes but other than that a good prospect!
Lost George who has been replaced by broughton! So now we have broughton, Murphy, Blackmore, jerry... Last year we had George, Murphy, Blackmore, Dawson and jerry! So less of a headache this year?? Anderson picks on form and has proved to be rite on the majority of his team selections, so I say let the lads battle it out! In Anderson we trust!
