| This whole saga has without doubt embarassed the club but I don't think there's a club in Super League who can say they have always managed every incident beyond reproach and always conducted themselves in the perfect way. All you can do is hopefully learn your lessons and I truly hope the we do this.
There should be an independent internal enquiry and the issues identified and addressed - whether that's individuals disciplined or simply the commitment to employ truly independent advisors in such cases in the future. Then it's time to move on.

| For me as a union official i'm pleased that keith mason has got a good pay out, we cant allow management at any company to treat employees in such a shoddy manner, no doubt the giants are at fault big style in this case, who at the giants i've no idea but surely the buck should stop with manager of the club, but as i said in a previous post it wont, because as is the norm now in this country management do and act as they want, and when it goes against them stick their heads in the sand, say its nowt to do with us and close ranks.

Clearly they don't, otherwise Keith Mason wouldn't be laughing all the way to the bank and Uncle Ken wouldn't be about half a million quid light.
I deal with HR and employment matters for a living and I can say with certainty that whomever took a decision to use the Twitter anus-gate as a way to get a rid of an employee who was clearly surplus to requirements, is either a rank amateur or an arrogant ; either way, I wouldn't let them loose on anything more complicated than the tea run in future.

I think that sums it up quite nicely.

| bren2k that was my point some management teams do think they can do want they want, luckily in this case the judge agreed with keith, but how many other people arent able to pursue the case like keith because of the cost, as i said they have stuck together the management team because nobody in power at the giants thinks they have done anything wrong. Just because the judge came down on keith's side doesnt mean that this isnt becoming more and more the norm in this country sadly imo.
Hopefully now though we as a club have learnt our lesson, treat people with respect not contempt and get back to been a great club.

As do some employees - it all depends on your perspective I guess, but I for one am happy to see that there is now a cost attached to lodging an ET1; that should put paid to a significant amount of the egregious and non-meritorious claims that employers have previously had to waste a lot of time and resource in defending.
I don't include the Mason case in that by the way - he very clearly had a legitimate claim for unfair dismissal.

| I liked mason good battling prop who did the hard yards. He was mistreated and deserved his payout. Disappointed with how the club has handled the situation. Lesson learned let's hope so!

| Makes no difference now! We've had out celebrations and it doesn't matter who or where we play in playoffs!

| And that's very harsh given past point deductions
(And given past point deductions we could appeal it lol)

| Points deduction next year for an incident that they are investigating from last year- cant see that. And don't think it's ever been a points deduction previously. If a verbal agreement was made at the alleged time - Koppy was in No mans land regarding his employer, and didn't griffin agree to join saints then sign for Leeds! You can bet your bottom dollar that other players were making "if" agreements at Bradford. I bet if others had copped onto the tupe transfer bit they would have done similar. Given the exceptional circumstances (still ongoing!) at Bradford I can hardly see them giving out a points deduction next year- but hey who knows with the RFL.

| I bet more Bulls players are wishing they'd done a 'Koppy' now.
