Thought Brought was far from his best tonight. In the first half whe first three times we got into their twenty we got caught in possession on the last tackle without getting a kick away which is very poor at this level. As the main playmaker Brough should be ensuring this does not happen.

The pressure we had in the first quarter was immense. Although three times caught with the ball on the last rather than putting the kick in which is a shame. Also for everything Leroy did right there was two occasions where he was running 30 meters out had pulled the centre and winger and jerry was steaming along, instead of passing he stepped inside and tried to break through. Effort for trying but jerry could have been away.
Overall great effort from the lads managed to pull away at the end after a good arm wrestle.

Danril's posts are spot on for mine, so I won't ramble. Just to say, thoroughly enjoyed the game, and a great win

Very poor officiating last night, especially against Hull in the last quarter, robbed us of a grandstand finish to an otherwise great game.

Officials were good and let play flow. My only gripe is Bentham's policing of the offside at the play the ball.

Tbf Ivor BOTH sides were guilty of being offside at the ptb. We would have given away just as many penalties as hull for it.

70 mins before we got our first penalty, I thought overall Bentham did well, he let the game flow, can you image Child reffing that one, double the penalty count at least.

My MOTM was Murphy too, hard to see George getting his spot back with that performance.

despite howling at him during the game i thought bentham was pretty good last night.apart from letting BOTH sides stand offside and lay on,and getting the mcdonnell drop out wrong, and appearing to be swayed by the hull players a couple of times,i thought he got most things right, well done mr bentham.!
as for the game i thought we were evenly matched for most of it,and at 6-10 down and looking lethargic i feared the worst, however we showed some character to come back and finish strongly and earn a well deserved win in the end.
credit to hull though as they battled well til the end but just didn't have enough quality to kick on after going in front.

Given that Hull didn't concede a penalty for the first 60mins I'm not surprised at your opinion!

I bet you'd find it a talking point though if they had been 20k there. Crowds like this for the top of "Super" League are very embarrassing for the sport. Roll on when the mighty bulls rise from the ashes and we'll get those glory days of 20k packing Odsal again. In the meantime, Huddersfield should accept that they're a soccer town and know their rightful place in this sport ..... the Championship, and I hope the RL heiracy will take the appropriate action when handing out the next round of franchises ...... I'm not trying to cause trouble here, only stating the obvious!

Jesus. You nearly didn't have a club to follow last season! So don't come on our site and saying we are only a championship club.
Makes me laugh when the big clubs go on about the massive followings they have bar Wigan and Leeds. 10,000 is the bench mark for the sport which is sad in its own way.

Excellent game which I thoroughly enjoyed, aided in no small part by the officials.

Hard fought win for us as both defences were on top for most of the game, I also thought that Fielden's class shows though when he is attacking the opposition, long may he stay uninjured. Players of both sides will of been aware that they were in a bruising battle but the better finishing by the Giants backs was the difference. To Hull's credit I think they will win more than they lose if they can produce similar performances especially when they get more players fit.

Thought we were lucky to win that - apart from the last 15 mins i didnt think we'd done enough to win the game but to our credit we soaked up what Hull had to offer and then produced a couple of bits of magic to put them to bed. Although i thought they offered practically nothing creatively and although their forwards made some good yards they never really looked like being a serious attacking threat.

The officials were ok for me, got all the big decisions correct even if it meant going back and having someone check for them.

I agree. I wasn't meaning that he was biased.
