Confident but was last season when we played them at home, we got found out late on in that game but hopefully this time round we are a different beast and if anyone kicks on late in the game it will be us.
If we can kick well and keep the penalty count down as we did at Saints then we have a great chance but Wigan showed v Wire it will take a great effort to put them to bed as for much of that game they looked 2nd best but still picked up a point.
A good test of where we are at and hopefully we will be more on our game from the start than we were v London.

Land of the GIANTS: |
|
| Personnely Saturday or Sunday does not matter to me, l don,t go home till Tuesday, its the principle, and l have written to the Giants about my views. and asked for answers, (l will publish the results)
According to some web sites (and l don,t believe all l read) Town will be paid by ITV for this game, the Giants will drop 3K off their gate.(maybe they will get 3K on the gate)?
Giants have 60% of this stadium, Town 0%, Sky, BBC, have a stake in RL ITV, have no interest at all in RL, so why are we again rolling over on this, The Giants are obviously ok with the outcome, but questions should be asked at the next HGSA meeting.
PS. l am Giants through and through , and l will always fight my/our corner, l will not take this lying down, but l am now on my second bottle and will shortly be lying down, see you all on Saturday. (hic)

| For the first time in my life I was hoping Town would win last night as I have to work Sunday, so our game being on Saturday suits me just fine.

I'm Town and Giants through and through and believe that if the 2 sporting pro clubs in Huddersfield who share the stadium are doing well then it rubs off on one another's s everyone benefits. There should be no animosity between either club and for both to do well they both need to get on. All this falling out is shameful and counter productive. Town have first option on the stadium as its part of their membership to the FL. if this wasn't guaranteed then Town and the Giants wouldn't be sharing a stadium and both clubs would probably be struggling in the lower reaches of the divisions with no prospects what so ever.

| Very true about where we would be without a ground share. The gripe for me is woth ITV not Town but thats just my opinion though in some ways it is a shame that the 10 day notice rule has been ignored when it is applied for replays as if Town and Leicester had replayed in the week after the original tie everyone would have had well over 2 weeks knowing for sure when the games would take place and the angst and anamosity would have died down well before the match days. The international week was always there so the FA should have planned around it and they were lucky only 2 replays were needed as 4 or 5 ties going that way and there would have been real problems.....say if Luton v Millwall had come about with only 4 days notice for example.

indeed it was last season v wigan where we got found and mullered in my opinion
lets hope like you say its a different beast this season
as for expansive play... we are now a direct team with the forwards laying the platform... anderson said this and also said the forwards should be embarressed with last weeks first half when they stood back and watched as danny brough was putting hits in

| People asked the question at the HGSA meeting, if they had bought the 2 ticket offer at £33. if the Wigan match was moved would they get a refund, if they could not attend, The answer was the Giants operate a refund policy, after contacting the Club this does not apply to ST holders, if the move is beyond the Giants control

Yet their brave bid came to a stunning end when Cudjoe stepped out of the defensive line to intercept a pass and then run away for a 90-metre effort. (Times 2)

| 7/4 is not massive (Hills the only ones going that big) and they probably know the weight of money they can expect if they are too generous on Wigan....last year they were cut from 4/7 to 4/9 or lower in the hours before the game and those that backed them were proved right, think in truth they do respect our chances and we will see if punters agree and they have to cut the odds or people are not confident enough in us to go in at those prices.
As in football with the big 4 they know people will lump Leeds/Wigan/Saints and Wire in accas week in week out and that is why there is value in trying to work out which of them will slip up as the bookies will err on the side of caution when pricing up the teams they know people want to back blind.

yes but last week we were talking about bookies maybe having us as slight favourites for this game so for me its abit of value at 7/4 at home

Great value for sure but we can take advantage without having the worry of laying decent money on Wigan which Hills seem to want to avoid and Ladbrokes amongst other seem happy to take on at 4/7.
I think it is a big price and have had a bit on us and in truth it is a 10/11 both of two game for me which in the first ten minutes could see a massive swing either way deopending on how we start.
Would I lay Wigan at 10/11 on the high street.....no way
Would I encourage people to back us at 7/4....too right 4 or 5/1 at Saints was an optimistic punt tomorrow we can be backed with confidence and though no means certanties if we do the things we are good at well it is a game we can win and if we are to get to where we all want us to be probably need to win.
Bring it on
