Agree. Think it will be tough for those 3 amigos to all perform straight after injury, but fingers crossed. Friday is a big game, but probably more important is the performance and establishing momentum towards the post season.

No Lomax,no Flannery for Saints.All their set plays pivoted around Lomax last week. Flannery dangerous out wide as we have found out to our cost in previous seasons.

He's not been having the best of seasons this time though.

Lomax is a cracking player so not having him is a blow for them but with us having lads coming back from injury and thus short of match practise/fitness I'm not going to bubble over with optimism. It's going to be an upfront battle and Puletua always does very well against us.

Looking at the two squads now,if we can't get the job done I will be very disappointed,yet as you say Dan there are question marks over the match fitness of some of our returning stars.

Yeah,Saints big asset as we saw last week is the front 3 of Graham,Roby, Puletua.We've just got to stay with 'em in the opening exchanges.

I agree that Lomax is class, and will be the next England 6,glad I can big him up now that he's out of the game.

Like you I'm not bubbling over after the last few weeks,but just quietly confident.

Our defensive frailties are what worry me. If we are sharp off our defensive line and get numbers in the tackle then we will be in the game. Saints love quick PTB's and runs from DH. Roby has made more runs and metres than anyone else in the league by a mile, Graham hits it up plenty and has good hands for a prop. Puletua a line breaker and takes several to bring him down. Eorl, Griff, Larne all need massive games to combat that along with Robbo, Brough and Brown.
