| These reactions to Huddersfield's win over us are funny.
If Hudds do manage to get past Saints and get to the Grand Final get ready for the heated debate on rlfans...
"What sort of farcical system means that a team finishing 5th in the league can end up champions. We should scrap the playoffs"

40218_1286737075.jpg Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill):d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40218.jpg |

| As has been said, our chairman made the point in the media last season that should we ever be in the position of making the club call, we would choose the lowest ranked team. He has followed through on that. No controversy in it really, is there? Logic would suggest that between 2nd place and 5th place, 2nd place has the better chance of winning. Obviously that isn't a given by any means. I was there when you knocked us out of the CC semi last year and I hope my team remember that experience also, and play accordingly.
Meanwhile, I hope we have a great match on Friday.
And that we beat you!

speaking of support, how many saints fans will bother turning up this time like they failed to turn up in the play off game last year, will they save their money for next week like some arrogant wire fans did? or will they turn up just for the occasion of being the last game at KR?

I won't be there (first home game missed all season) as I have no childcare so will be watching on Sky unfortunately.
I'm not sure though that working on the "we may get there and if we do I want to be able to go" idea is arrogant? It is very logical really if spending the money on the game would mean you couldn't afford the final, I would imagine the same will go through the minds of some of your fans (and wigan and leeds) when deciding if they should go to the game or not.
I think we will be lucky to touch the 10k mark next week, the crowd will probably be boosted slightly with it being the last game at knowsley road but play off games never draw crowds in for numerous reasons.

| You know what; we say that and we get castigated to the end of the world. Wire last night; not a word about support. Only we get grief, no one else. It's not our support that is poor, it is the IDIOTS who jump on us a every farts end who don't judge the rest by the same measure.
So let's be right here. If you wanted to turn in, you would. That's what we get; why shouldn't you?
If there are less than 10k there next week it's because you think we're a walkover. You don't give a wet fart about history and you think you'll win at a canter. And to be fair, if you wanted to go, you would. You have 5 days to sell your kids FFS...

| i think saints did right to pick us its logical that you should pick the lowest ranked team, but on the 2 games ive seen this weekend i would have said wigan looked the weaker of us 2. As for the crowd been less than 10k what a insult to saints last game ever at knowsley road it should sell out whoever the opposition is.,as danril points out if that was us we would never hear the end of it i for one hope its a full house as long as i can get my ticket.

Surely Leeds are the weakest no Peacock and Burgess and without McGuire who has been their star player over the last few weeks out. i think they will struggle

| Why get worked up over what people say about Huddersfield 'support'.
If you win SL and get 16000 average next season then all everyone will say is "where were you when you were poop" and go on about bandwagon supporters.

| we dont get worked up we find it amusing that because people can no longer ridicule us for our on field product they think it's still 2003 and take great pleasure in ridiculing our crowds,as i say bitterness is an awful thing

leeds would of been my choice out of the teams to play, but saints could only choose us or wigan so i'd of done the same in there position i think

| There were no Warrington fans in our stand last night and it was about half full.
Look at the highlights, thats the biggest away following we've had for a while.
Also the noisiest since the Semi at that ground last year.

Can anyone locate a review of that match. I remember going but cannot remember the details. I am sure we won about 17 points to 16. it was a very close game like most of the other games we won that season( all 4 of them )
