I'm don't pretend to be in the know but if all is true which from reading the board it looks like a done deal to Wire. This can only be unsettling for the player the team and the fans.

I am very disappointed that he could be off, as he is world class but if the club will only offer him a 1 year extension as led to believe and he has been offered a better deal else where then it's up to the player to decide.

It is going to leave a big hole and the question on everyone's lips is can Cudjoe do the job full time at FB?

This is all very, very unsettling and something has gone very wrong in terms of keeping these things private at either the Wire end or here. It wont be doing the Wire set up all that much good but seeing as it's our end where all the departures seem to be hinted at, and plenty of them to various places, then it is safe to say it will be doing us far worse.

Not good. We need to have some positive announcements where possible asap IMO. It wont take much for the good work to be undone, our fickle fans soak up the bad news far easier than the good.

Unfortunately you are right. The difficulty is that we will find it hard to announce any signings now as that would mean compromising someone elses circumstances at another club.

I can tell you something I don't want Mathers.

Mathers and "highly rated" just don't go in the same sentence.

The Examiner somehow has the cheek to try it though.

If you read Mathers on Twitter, it's obviously unsettled the lad. I feel for him, regardless of anyones' opinion of Mathers game he's a diamond geezer and will have an affect on the team morale.

I'd have thought Kings "Storm 07" tattoo may have more an effect on morals.

I have read the boards but if Brett Hodgson goes he has gone down in my estimation. I know I am biased but why would he want to go to Warrington?. I know they are higher in the league and ..........what exactly?.

If I were in Brett's shoes I would be asking myself what is my position within the Giants organisation since the coach has made it clear who he believes is most important with regards to playing personnel. But I'm not Brett and I have no idea what is happening behind the scenes.

Brett has done a good job for Giants but is clearly getting older and more prone to injuries. I can understand the club not wanting to offer him a two year contract.I can also understand why he wants one (as did Gilmour and Long at Saints).

This season he has had more and more knocks and to be honest Giants have played very well in games he has not played in.

Cudjoe is a great prospect at Full back and so is Elliot Hodgson. The Giants are a team and no one player leaving will unduly inconvenience them.

Mathers for me would be a poor signing and I don't see why he is being linked with this if Brett is going at the end of his contract.

ATEOTD if Brett does go there will be more salary cap to buy a decent centre and a decent winger. Those positions are where we are very light on cover.
