| I think the club ought to record there own version. Get fans who play instruments and sing to get involved make it a little bit more upbeat and only record the verses the fans sing!

| Search the video site for lick the tins version ...thats a bit more upbeat.
Obviously we would like it to be sung at every game like it was at Wire but that will take a massive effort and the fans need to be in the right mood too.

| From my memory the old singing section back in the late 80s early 90s when our fortunes started to lift started singing it and it stuck
It's not a song to lift the team but one to sing after a try

| It is however terrible
Stick with the Elvis version and stop bloody whinging about every single thing - especially when its a song fans started singing and the club have taken on board
Jesus bloody wept you people could whinge if you found a fiver that it wasn't a tenner

| Think it started when UB40 released the song. Town sing it and so do the giants and if my memory serves me correctly we both started singing it around the same time either in the last year of playing at Leeds Road or very early on at the McAlpine.

| Really hoping that the club stick with the version they are playing now. Yes, it's not a tune to get up and bop too, but at least it's got a bit of character to it. The UB40 version is godawful. I'd stick with both falling in love and the liquidator as they are now for a full season. Just stick with something.
Random songs that have no association with us to swap instead of falling in love makes no sense to me. I've only been following the giants since 2009ish and going to games with little knowledge or history of the club, I always associated it with us as it was sang by the hardcore at every and any away game I went to.

It is a love song.
It;s about falling in love.
It starts melancholy with a passionate chorus.
Sing it be proud.
Noy everyone wants to sing im forever blowing bubbles or when the saints go marching in.

I'm pretty sure it was sung at Fartown mate? But the memory has faded a bit since then!

| It was definitely being sung at Fartown as early as 1989 cos I remember singing it at Doncaster in a Yorkshire cup tie in that year so I'm presuming we sang it at home games too !

| I don't mind the song itself- but I'm afraid the elvis version being played at the start just seems to be subduing rather than getting everyone enthusiastic. Surely the idea is to get everyone geed up, not melancholy.

| I don't mind one verse / chorus followed by a chant of Fartown but after the whole song (even if it is Elvis) someone has to wake me up when the game starts.
