| I think it is terrible that when things like that can go so badly wrong at a big club.
Where has all the money gone

| I hope they pull through, but this one made me chuckle.

I have just had a text from a so called loyal bull fan of many years stating " I wont give them 50 pence " He also blamed it on ganson.

| looks like they are in a wakey situation. At least Richardson was offering ownership of the club. the bulls just seem to want the cash with no strings.
I am sure with 10000+ fans the money could be raised if the Bulls offer meaningful shares.

| Cant stand bradford...drop them in to championship and let halifax in
only last week they gave whitehead a new deal?!
the rfl will most likely bail them out again...
feel sorry for sammut..crusaders and now this
but all will be ok, its just a cry for money... very much doubt they will go under
its abit like wakefield and castleford saying we will have a new stadium ready for the next franchise again..just so they get a franchise..
bradford a grade b license??!

| Bloody expansion clubs. First crusaders, now Bradford
Maybe like Fax before then they'll have to offload their highly paid players to save money.

Nah, we only stick the boot into Wakey, plus Scruton is an awful player. A defensive liability going for big shots and either getting stepped or injuring himself. Kopczak is decent.

| I'd possibly take Burgess and Whitehead but none of the others..............quite ironic i suppose after all those years of Bulls fans giving us gip about been held up by Ken and how we cant survive without him and they make their money by having large crowds and winning trophies etc....thing is the large crowds are still there but are paying very little to see them....maybe that has something to do with it...yes it looks good when they can still attract 10-11000 fans when they've been crap for a few years now but the club did that because they knew crowds were falling and didnt want to seem like all the 'glory hunters' had gone so offered cheap deals to keep the crowds respectable.
10,000 or whatever paying £60 a year looks good in the papers but not on the bank balances !!

The frightening thing is that all that season ticket money must have been spent! With more than two thirds of the season left they are skint.
It is a shambles and the RFL buying odsal now looks ever more murky.
As for player...bateman and whitehead are quality... possibly Koppy.

| id have thought the RFL buying Odsal was a good piece of business, so when the club does fold it's main asset can not be sold to pay debts as the club does not own it. Odsal will still be there for the next Bradford team.... how about.... Bradford Northern?

Exactly, the RFL have acted to protect professional RL in Bradford without treating Bradford Bulls differently from any other club. Before someone mentions Wakey, they did not have stadium or a long lease to sell and apear to be doing just fine now.

| Banter aside, I think it's really sad to see such a big club struggle like this, and wonder how many others are not far from a similar fate.
I for one hope they pull through, it's another RL club ATEOTD, not a football club who spend far more on wages for overpaid 'superstars' who get paid more in a week than most RL players earn in a year.
There's been talk about the SL having too many clubs and therefore the money (sky) being spread too thin, it events like this that make me think maybe there are too many and we should reduce the league to 12, which would improve the quality and make the games tougher.
Clearly the upkeep of Odsal must have a part to play too (stewards/insurance/rates etc.), maybe they'll have to share the facilities at Valley Parade and cut costs (not to mention better facilities for the paying public), there's a few other clubs who have gone down that route.

| this is bad news for rugby league as a sport if bradford go under every club will be affected and we are hardly a sport that brings in tons of money. plus with the economy as it stands in general future prolems could arrive
