according to the observer to paraphrase as i cannot find the original article,
the try would have been given any any other day
in respect of the Anderson knock on it stated,
A knock on appeared to be missed by the referee
Those comments in journalist speak is that the officials got it wrong.
On the basis of those two decisions do the maths on the score.
I will reserve judgement on the other issues the Lunt try and Griffins knock on which at the time appeared to be blatantly punched out by Morley later when i can bring myself to watch the game on TV. |

I prefer to take the view off a full time referee who spends all week preparing for games and know's the laws, i'm guessing he is upto date with the statements issued to clubs and coaches, more so than a bitter mod on an internet message board.

Anderson didn't knock on, live I thought he had but seeing the replays it missed his hand and he kicked it forward.
Lunt's ball carrying arm did hit the floor before he scored, so that was rightly given a no try.
The obstruction was an obstruction too because he wasn't on the dummy runner who took the Warrington player outs outside shoulder, if he was it would have been a try.

the knock on and double movement I have no real issue with
its the obstruction - this week we will see identical plays given as tries, as I keep saying 99 other times, that would be given and you all know thats true.
