| Was in the pub post-match and a Wakey fam was of the opinion that Brough's performance today was all he needed to think he would be wearing our colours next season.
He can play well or poor, there's usually no inbetween. but today, he didn't want to know. His words.

| Quote: Marsdengiant "Agree with the +ve comments about our players.
Hodgo's goal kicking was excellent.
The spotting of the wakey pivots/halves was excellent - how many times did Mason run an arc and force Brough to make a tackle? We appeared fitter and played with a better defensive structure.
If Wakey can keep it together they will deffo make the 8 and could well be top 6.
A sound effort with 4 1st 17 players missing.'"
Wait for it...
...I agree.

| Mason did run brilliantly, no denying that at all today, best I have seen him play
Griff and Scully also played very well I though too. Hope its a sign of things to come.

Our forwards feed off his enthusiasm IMO!
That big hit he put in in the first was to make up for the error he made. And no penalties, which was his achilles heel.

| I personally rate Mason as the best 'unknown' player in SL.
As a matter of interest, how old is he?

Only a couple of offsides.
Today I would say he was our #1 prop. Looked like Griff did last year.

And Wakey's ground is filled to the rafters every home game isnt it - NOT!
There always has to be a dig at crowd sizes everytime our opposition loses at the Galpharm...

You have to remember they guys are professionals. They do this day in day out. I am pretty sure they walked home too - in half the time.
Good on 'em.

I heard he did a tendon in his finger so just had to wag one. Nathan Brown caught him late in a handshake.

Grapple finger? Did he hold on a bit too long?

Wakie top crowd this season is 6487 against SALFORD.
Wakie average is 5496 which is down 20% on last year.'"
20% is a big dip for a team in a play off spot! Think they should be worrying about their own crowd sizes not ours!!
Still Leeds at home for them next weekend so that will help get them over the 5,500 mark
