I think the criticism of Ferres and Cudjoe has been very harsh. The issue that is causing problems for both of them is the same – the preference of attacking down our left hand side. Teams are fully prepared for this, they set themselves for it which makes it easy to defend – it’s not that Ferres has been ‘figured out’ as some have stated it’s just that we’re not giving him a chance and this in turn is leading to some frustration resulting in some of his ill-discipline. This of course then impacts of Wardle and what he can feed to his winger. With the preference for going down the left, Cudjoe is starved of ball which leads to him trying to force things when he gets it. We need to mix up our attacking play much more.

I don’t see any point in moving Connor from full back or dropping him to make way for Grix – I’d be disappointed if this happened. I’m a fan of Grix and would have no worries about him playing at full back but I think Connor has earned the chance for a run in the team with his last 2 displays – yes, he made two important mistakes against Leeds but that is always going to be the case when young player comes through and the only way of reducing those type of errors is give him experience.

Ellis and Huby are also showing signs of settling. Which each game we are seeing more kicks from Ellis and in the last two games I even saw more hints of us using our right hand side more. Huby’s off-loads have also increased.

Hopefully Widnes’ last result and our 3 losses will mean we give them their due respect but, at the end of the day, whatever the previous results, Widnes at home is a game we should be winning and I expect us to do so even though I see it being tight.

Sorry Bilko, can you explain about Patrick, Chan Kaufausi and same Agent. Are you saying Kaufausi had to go to Bulls to get Fit? Then that begs another Question about Conditioning at Giants ?

Because Mr Ed the Giants are playing next Thursday so it would have been a short turnaround if they were playing Sunday.

They were anxious but it was good to see them running harder in the second half. Huby's best game so far. Mullally also good.

Jerry was, for me, clearly MoM though. Ran hard and Widnes didn't kick the ball anywhere near him second half. With good reason.

They all seemed a bit more assertive second half which was good but we need them to be like that from minute 1. Focussed, forceful. Controlled aggression and a making the right decisions. No standing around at the ruck letting them roll us. Pushing up at the 10 and getting the shouler in the tackle instead of grabbing with the arms. If you come out of the line then you HAVE to make the tackle! The game should have been virtually sewn up at HT but we only had ourselves to blame for that.

I hope they grow for the win but from the results tonight Thursday is going to be tricky!
