Main point is people will always say something means nothing if they don't have a chance of winning it themselves!!

For me topping the league is really what being champions is all about - Not a knock out competition amongst a much reduced competitive pool of 'talent'!

I'm really happy for Hudds, i don't understand the reason people are giving you such a hard time, it's more a pyschological achievement than the winning of a shield.

Cos we used to be the whipping boys, now we're not and some people can't accept that and throw a paddy !

I think most people are happy to see a new team fighting it out with the usual suspects.

Congratulations you are the most consistent side in the league , now all you have to do is to prove you are a champion side by fighting your way through the play offs when all the big boys have no excuses left and win the grand final . In my opinion you can do it but probably only if some one else removes Warrington for you

What some of you don't seem to realise though is that the table would undoubtably looked different if finishing top was the aim of the season.

It's perfectly possible that you would still have come top. Unlikely imo, but possible.

Impossible ultimately to say either way.

What is absolutely true (as Wigan know from bitter experience last year) is that it is way more important to hit the playoffs with a healthy, confident squad than it is to finish top after the regular rounds.

To be honest if we don't we don't. The real important thing is we keep improving year on year and if we do we can have no complaints.

We have alot to prove but that goes for anyone in any sport and until you win every game, league, cup etc you enter that is true be you Leeds Rhinos, Tiger Woods, Andy Murray or Phil Taylor.

Too many people are too bothered with what others think and go either full out attack or get defensive (verbally) and do not seem to enjoy what is going on infront of their eyes but get bogged down in things that at the end of the day could get argued about for days and still both sides could pick holes in each others arguments.
