| You mean like the 1yr we offered to Brett Hodgson...
The last game Fielden played in for Wigan he looked fit, hungry and like he wanted to play.
He's passed his fitness test and I for one will cheer him on his home debut.

| I have a big concern over his durability, with playing so few games over the last 2 years, no doubting he has the experience and will certainly 'beef' up our forward line if fully functional. He will certainly give us some needed experience at the top table.
Time will tell.................maybe a 6 out of 10 with a range of 9 if fully fit and revving to a 2 if on a pension top up.

| We have other forwards capable of playing long minutes- ie eorl-who has thrived on it this season. We can afford to have him on for short spells as the likes of chan/ Bruno can play the full 80 at second row if necessary. The fact he hasn't had his body battered for the last two years might actually make him more durable!!!!

| Fielden must be one of the fittest players in SL to have passed out fitness test.
With our recent form with injuries coupled with his previous 2 years, do people seriously think that the club will not have pushed him to the limits to check that he won't break down?
We recently signed 2 super fit Antipodeans, and look what happened to them.
Would love to be present when he & Keith meet!

A Fitness test is different to playing SL games week in week out. He has been out injured for how long? I just don't agree this a Suitable signing for our club.
Poor signing.

| Or looking at the positive, the time on the treatment table has stopped extra miles going on the clock. I guess time will tell.

That's exactly what I saw when he played his last game, thrown into a pretty full on game after two years off and looked good all things considered.
Looking forward to seeing him play.

| If you get a fit and on form Fielden then he's a good addition to your squad.....Unfortunately, there probably hasn't been one of those since he left Bradford for Wigan, and that was a good while ago.
Can't put my finger on what went wrong with the guy, but it just seems he hit his peak at quite a young age (for a prop) and has been going downhill for a number of years - Compare to Peacock and Morley, who were his equals back in the day, and its been a bit of a mystery how his career has gone.
He could be a good squad player for you, but he won't be any drastic improvement on what you had this year.

If winning things was his motivation he wouldn't have signed for Huddersfield.

I wonder what his motivation for leaving Bradford for Wigan in 2006 was?
