| There were 3,000 people less there than 2 weeks ago.
Wigan Saints in the league had 24,000 there. In the play offs there were just shy of 13,000 there a drop off of 11,000.
Leeds Hull in the league had 14,000 in the play offs 9,000 a drop of 5,000.
Warrington had about the same crowd and Catalans had gone up slightly.
Warrington were getting the league leaders shield and have a great chance of there first Superleague title. Catalan were playing Hull KR who seem to regularly attract good attendances in the play offs
Apart from that it seems that there is a problem with fans attending play offs in this country full stop.
Looking back at previous seasons it seems to be a problem that occurs all the time. Some games are well attended others see drops of 3,000 to as many as 8,000 from regular season attendances.

| We got more for Catalan and Cas games in play off games in past seasons though. Last night I believe our late season form just eroded the confidence of the fickle fans. They didn't think we would win. And equally that was why Leeds came in better numbers than the league game; they were confident of a win.

| Of course our form is important. Last year though we had momentum and genuine hope going into the play offs and only managed 5,000 against Crusaders. This year given how we were playing I'm surprised even 50 people turned up to be honest. I had to think very hard about it and I've not missed a home game since about 1994.
As an aside our attendance against Catalan was about 1,500 down on the league fixture that year. Again though we had only stuttered into the play offs and came into the game off a loss to Saints.

| I couldn't believe how many of your fans left with 12 mins to go, they could have missed one of your greatest comebacks.

spot on dan! thats the nature of fickle fans though, as you know i expected us to be comfortably beaten last night but it didnt stop me being there to support my team.
i agree that people do have genuine reasons why they cant make games, especially on a friday night.but for most people i suspect its just a case of they cant be bothered when things aren't going well. had we been on a good run going into the play offs then im sure more of our fans would be quite happy to roll with the good times.a lot of our support is now firmly the armchair brigade, which is disappointing not least for ken and all the people in the club who work hard trying to attract better numbers.
until we win something then the bandwagoners and fairweather fans will continue to stay away im afraid.

| Quote Ginger_Giant="Ginger_Giant"One bad game? Have you seen many Giant's games since May? We've been awful this second half of the season, I mean actually woeful; which culminated last Friday with a well deserved thrashing. Why should people pay out £15 to watch their team not even show up? People want to be entertained, entertaining matches have been far and few in-between for the second half of the season for Giants fans.'"
some of us have seen some truly terrible times since the 70's and 80's but we are still here, some people are truly spoilt!

Reminds me of that Semi final when we beat Saints in extra time back in 2003 (I think). Some of our fans, including a family next to us, walked out with 4 or 5 minutes left when Saints went over for a try that put them 6 up with a very kickable kick to come. They missed the kick, McGuire scored on the death, and Sinfield kicked the goal from the touchline as the hooter was going. We won in extra time and I always wonder what thier reactions will have been when they saw the score back at home. I hope they were very gutted as thats the most exciting finish to a game I have ever witnessed

A lad next to us left against Hull KR when we weren't given the try. It was 14-16, we pushed at the scrum, won it, and kicked to the corner, scored - got disallowed from the video ref, but got a penalty kick, Brett kicked it from the touchline, 16-16. Best game I've ever been to. I never go early. I stayed till the end against Warrington, Leeds last night, Warrington last year (60-4), and every other drubbing.

| I am not justifying myself not being there but i live in hull so it can be quite expensive for myself to travel to the playoff games, i am a season ticket holder since i was 13. Even when i moved to hull 10 years ago i still bought my pass and travelled back every other weekend for the home games, but unfortunatly i couldnt afford the 50/60 pounds it would cost me to attend this game, was i expecting as win? No is the answer but they did me proud all the same, roll on next season!!
