Well my ticket has been acquired. Hopefully we'll take at least as many as the CC game and cheer the boys on to a good performance.

Huge game. The forwards are going to smash into each other big time and we need ours to really stand up.

For me the only motivation for any player needs is that this is one step from the biggest domestic competition stage and getting there is all that matters!

Sorry to say LLS isn't
Neither is the Challenge Cup anymore

And I have said the same when we have picked up both.

Going to be a great game either way played out by the TOP TWO teams in the league...because not matter what form says the playoffs are all due to where you finish after 27 rounds, and the league table I just looked at says both are teams are...

Also sad to see alot of hate coming in on here, always thought us and you guys got on and were seen as the teams that got in the mix of Leeds, stains, pies etc...and upsetting there fun.

Best of luck, and if it doesn't work out how I want it, I hope you go on to GF glory in our place

One of Wire's major strengths is their bench. That is what Anderson tried to neutralise in the cup semi-final. Warrington will try to blow the Giants off the park in the first 15-20 mins and if they have a few scores up he will bring on Morely, Carvell and Monaghan - an extremely experienced and battle hardened front row to consolidate the game.

The Giants will have Patrick, Ferguson, Ta'ai and Wood on the bench which doesn't have the same experience as the Wolves bench but does have mobility, they will need to use Brough's kicking game to make the most of it. I also think bringing Ferguson on earlier rather than later would be a very wise move, Lawrence gets through plenty of hard work in defence and carrying the ball out, but Ferguson runs some brilliant lines and could just be a game breaker. Wood needs to be used vary sparingly as our attack really does lack in comparison to when Lunt is on, Lunt needs to be playing a good 60-65 minutes on Thursday.

Kopczak and Eorl need to have a massive first 25 mins and take it to the Wolves pack, with plenty of aggression in attack and defence; just like we saw last Thursday.

Should be an excellent game, hopefully a hell of a lot more so than the Challenge Cup game.

i agree with flying prop we need to out wire em, they are a very niggly agressive side particularily in the first 20, we need to get in their faces early doors and give it back, this should give broughie the space to execute his kicking to the max which imo is the key to us winning, no confident of a win or a loss too close to call for me.

Lets see how the week off affects wire, for all everyone saying hull were poor, we were full of intensity, as we were for most of the gooners game, i didnt think the wire rhinos game was as intense as ours, so hopefully wires early onslaught if repelled could be the game breaker.

Think its going to be a fiery affair in the early stages going toe to toe...which to be honest we did in the cup game but the energy wasnt focused in the right way and hopefully we have learnt from this.

also hope we get a fair crack with the ref this time too, wire like to spoil and have the hand in all the time stripping the ball and ref just seems to give a knock on against us icon_rolleyes.gif

same starting team as we played last week...would like to see faiumu instead of wood really... lot more experience from faiumu and think he is a better hooker than wood anyway.
Ferguson off the bench but his defence needs to be upto scratch for this one, no leaving gaps!

is waterhouse out injured for this game??? a few people have said so?

also alot of people dont seem to be remembering that night we had not too long ago when we knocked wire out of the playoffs, think we have more of a chance and more confident than we were back then!

no doubt its a hard task on the back of the head to head meetings but we go there with a good chance if things go our way, we saw the real giants last week and extra motivation they have now will be a further boost.

not interested in the handicap betting here , if you fancy giants 2/1 is ok outright

Quite amazed to see us being referred to as niggly and leaving hands in at the ptb...objectively I say we were one of the cleanest around the ruck, preferring a quick ptb. Obviously any team pops a ball out now and again.

I think that is referring back to the cup game where there was 4 or 5 occasions where Wire players clearly reaped the ball out sneakily and Bentham gave knock on every time.

I just can't see Hudds dominating up front to give Brough time to use his box of kicks.

Wire may have had the week of, but their training sessions will have been as tough as anything Hull offered.

Hudds have to be at their absolute best & hope Wire can't produce what they did against Leeds.

I've yet to see brough not have time to use his box of kicks. One thing he is good at is thinking quickly- and if he can't kick he will just run- that part of his game has been coming more to the fore as teams have tried to close him down to prevent the kicks- and of course we can always give it robbo.
You only have to look at some of the stats from our games to see that our forwards making fewer metres doesn't mean we are beaten- just ask Leeds!

brough is certainly running the ball more himself and taking on the line...with great success too i might add, great speed off the mark

And you guys don't think we'll be ready for that this time? Even us fans can see that when he's closed down he'll side step and set off down field like a rocket, we'll be waiting for it to happen and nail him every chance we get.

Its just getting those chances that's the problem. Concentrate on Brough like Hull did if you want and let Robbo, Grix and Lunt have a fieldday. Are you Peter Gentle?
