Quote PONNER="PONNER"The last part wasn't necessarly aimed at meast. I was quoting him for the 20 years part. We are all quick enough to boo the ref for inept performances, why should our players be any different?'"
Because RARELY does it do any good and more often than not demoralises people.
there are many ways to show your displeasure. Booing is probably the least costructive.
when things have gone bad that is the time players need your support. They do not need anyone to boo them when things have gone bad.
the problem yesterday was as much do do with the team selection and the coaching as anything else. I did not detect a lack of effort as 3 tries in the last 10 minutes showed. I detected , complacency, too many team changes, blooding youngsters, a poor game plan and execution. Be dissappointed yes but booing is ridiculous. We are 4th in the table and there have been plenty of upsets in the rounds so far.
The problem is some fans think we have the right to win every game or , ''EASY'' games. That may have been the atitiude of Leeds and Saints in the past but we are not in that bracket yet.
You have to earn the right to win a game. yesterday we did not.
If we beat Wigan in 3 weeks that does that make everything alright again.
