| Quote: RAIDERSRUS "Like SRC wrote, the Huddersfield board assured the Barrow board that they would send a team made up of a mixture of first teamers and reserve/academy/u20's/ whatever you want to call them players. Nobodys saying the team isnt a decent one, like someone has said they pushed Saints all the way last season ( and yes i did watch the game on Sky), however the club has gone back on their word. Crabtree's testimonial was called off so this would have been a good opportunity to give some first team players a run out against a good team. There rant over, i'll go and get back under my stone now!!
Utter rubbish. Repeat as many times as you like it remains untrue. Des Johnson is no shrinking violet. I will await his public comments.
The team that lost to Saints would have beaten you by 30 points. Our full 1st team, by even more.

| The Giants got a lot of stick for the side that played Saints last season but it really was not that inexperienced. The side that day would have beaten Barrow comfortably. The team was
Elliot Hodgson
Leroy Cudjoe
Josh Griffin
Michael Lawrence
Alex Brown
Tom Hemingway
Scott Moore
Darrell Griffin
Shaun Lunt
Paul Jackson
Simon Finnigan
Danny Kirmond
MartinAspinwall
Andy Raleigh
Kiel Carlisle
Larne Patrick
Danny Sculthorpe
2 players from this team played yesterday.

| The Barrow board found out Sunday morning exactly what team Huddersfield were sending and trust me they werent happy after (yes i'll say it again because it's true!) being told there would be 5/6 big names in it mixed win with the squad that was sent, so yes Huddersfield have gone back on there word whether you like it or not GiantJo, what has happened in the last week with the incident has sod all to do with this matter, it's just a excuse. And what exactly do you know about Des Johnston apart from the $hite that get's written on these board's? Because he's not a yes man or brown nose he get's called a arrogant trouble maker!! Good luck for the coming season, you never know we might meet in the Challenge Cup!!

Try and stop making an ass of yourself. You clearly know nothing about squad declaration and timescales. Here is the Giants squad declared well before Sunday (as per the rules). This info goes to the RFL/Barrow well before it is published on a website:
giantsrl.dnsupdate.co.uk/latestN ... Index=3251
Barrow have access to this info I suppose you guys may be so thick that you cannot read RFL declarations or communicate effectively within the club. Ho hum. More likely you are spewing the gossip of numpties.
Why not tell us which of your board members are not clever enough to read squad declarations issued before the weekend

Talk about a throw away line.
This whole debacle sums up what's wrong with RL in the UK. So-called 'big clubs' shafting so-called 'smaller clubs'. The lack of respect for lower league clubs is breathtaking - particularly for the likes of Huddersfield, who spent decades as a basement club in the lower echelons before they became flavour of the day with the RFL in a shiny new stadium.
The Barracudas, Arena 84, into SL by default (PSG's collapse) and kept afloat due to a dodgy 'merger' with Sheffield.
Sometimes fans forget just how lucky they are.
I hope we meet in the Challenge Cup. As Wigan found out, underestimate us at your peril.

| Got a few throw away lines yourself there. Can't beat a bit of ill informed, often regurgitated pap, can you.
I'm sure if we do meet in the cup we wont under estimate you. Hopefully we'll put a full side out, thrash the crap out of you and then you can have a good whine about that as well and how we should have put kids out instead to give you a chance.
Whinge, whine, bleurgh.
I'll be glad when the season starts so people have something worth complaining about.

Love the arrogance.
Enjoy your time while it lasts and respect for your £500K losses every year. I suppose you could merge with Cas when it all goes 'pop' again.

You are ill informed to the point of ignorance. Add to this the enormous chip on your shoulder and we end up with the carping and moaning of you and Raidersrus have been posting. Get over it

| Regarding the losses comment; isn't it true that only Leeds and Hull FC are profit making clubs?
How do Barrow's books look with all these 'star players' on their gravy train to Super League?

I am just stating a basic fact. The team we had out against Saints was a decent side with plenty of experience. I am not been disrespecful to Barrow in stating the that side would have easily beaten them.
