He does actually say 'we haven't brought anyone of note in yet, and that's a bit disappointing!' Good on yer Rick, i like a bloke who speaks his mind.

| yeh he didnt sign the bradford 3, thats thewlis/anderson.
but as fans we can only support the lads and stone will hopefully get the best put of them.
hooker is a concern for me and for stone listening to his comments.
maybe in 2018 he will have more HIS team!

| It's not easy moving on players who are on long term deals, especially new signings! Reading between the lines I believe the plan is to give these guys an opportunity, get them fit and then move them on. Not that Rick has got much other option.
I did hear a rumour we were attempting to sign Adam O'Brien at the Bulls. That would be a good capture. Another player that Leeds fans are getting excited at signing. Then again, they got giddy when they thought Kyle Wood was heading their way earlier this month!!!!

| I'd be more than happy with O'Brien. Has been a leader in the Bradford side and still very young, I think he came through in the same crop as Bateman/Whitehead/Oli when Bradford academy was top drawer.
Is Falloon still without a club? Don't know much about him but there must have been a reason Leeds took a punt on him in the fist place.
Still hopeful Leeming gets game time this year I think he will develop into a top player.

Really, you want a coach who can blow a players confidence by saying we have signed you, but you are not noteworthy rather than telling them they have been signed because he sees their ability and he expect you to show his faith in you was correct?

Fair point.

So you would rather Stone lie to the fans by saying "We've signed 2 players of note in Gaskell and Clough" of which he would get a backlash saying if we think they are of note then were going backwards.
For me Clough and Gaskell will know they are not key signings as they have come from the Championship and wasn't exactly hot property like Brierley was (although you could argue for Gaskell that he was according to Thewlis but hes the biggest joker going). If that was me which Rick said that about, it would give me the extra bit between to teeth to prove him wrong and I really hope they do!
For me Stone has said the right thing and I expect the players to react in a positive way as they are professional sports men - especially Gaskell who could be a great signing and prove his worth if we play him in one position regularly and can stay fit. Clough is nothing more than a squad man but if he gives 100% then thats all you can ask of a squaddie and im sure he will.

22 year old Hooker with bags of potential. Is very experienced for his age. He has had offers from SL before but wanted to give the Bulls one last chance of SL. However, considering whats going on at the moment is probably the right time for him to leave.

| Annother xhampionship player is not what we need- we have a promising 22year old hooker of our own- what we need are leaders- we are terribly lacking in British experienced players.

I think Stones plan is to get another hooker so Hinchliffe goes to loose

I'm fine with that - but a 22 year old championship player is not what we should be filling the gap with! We need someone who has more experience than kruise and bring him on-

I was hoping we could lure Dwyer from Warrington who is very good and offer him 1st choice here with Kruise as 2nd but won't happen. Hes unfortunate to have Clark otherwise he would of had plenty more game time.

I personally don't see Dwyer as a starting hooker - his defence isn't strong enough, he's a bench hooker his strength is his agility against tiring defences.
