This is a rugby league forum. Your first post on here and the comments above have nothing to do with the Giants. Why not give us your sober analysis of Grix, his skill set or where you think he can do a job for the Giants.

Back to topic. Whereever Grix plays it is evident that one skill he has is a kicking game. This is true of Drewy and Kyle Wood (if he joins us). This will add an important dimension in 2010.

Without wanting to get into another Wakey/Hudds war, how do you come up with that??

Not saying you are wrong, he may well have a very good kicking game....but that was not seen at Wakey for the simple reason he was not on kicking duty......l would hazard a guess he kicked less than Obst and Martin.

Quote: Marsdengiant "Not talking from anything little man.

Show me the thread where I say we are 'blessed' with halves. Go on find it. In the meantime I am waiting to find out why dholli12 says you are thus blessed.

We have Drew/ Robbo/ Brown/ McNally/ Grix/ Kyle Wood(?) and Brett Hodgson has also played in the halves as has Cudjoe. That will be okay for 2010.

With wakey clearing out 20+ players from all ranks i am happy to see Drew and Grix at the Galpharm.'"

I think blessed was probably the wrong word to use.
Personally i think Wakefield have plenty of cover in the halves and Grix was unlikely to make a starting spot his own.

Dont really know what that tells you about the kicking game of Grix. Most of his game time was on the wing.
Although when he did feature in a more pivotal role, his kicking game was less than ordinary.

it was just the figures based on Simons suggestion. Don't read anything into them.

Is it a secret who these people are..blessings or otherwise. With Martin/Grix/Drew/Rooney out and Jeffries in I may have missed some signings.

Tony Martin was not ideally a recognised stand-off as I remember he was shunted there for cover for several games but as usual he couldn't stay injury free,He is an out and out centre.

Wakefield have a young kid called Cain Southernwood who looks like he'll break through this year and he's a specialist stand-off.

Rooney went stagnent,Drew showed his class but again injury marred his season and the ideal halfback partnership was Obst and Brough.

Latu and Newton will fight for the hooking role while it will be Jeffries/Ost and Brough within the halfs and the young kid backing them up.

Good luck with Grix as he can look a real good signing if he can hold down a position of his own.

Thanks for a genuine answer.

Interestingly Drew made more 1st team appearances than Obst and Brough.

I expected Brough + Jeffries in your halves with cover from Obst (possibly better at 9) and Southernwood [at 17 is a good prospect but Kear is unlikely to risk him too much in 2010]. That is why the 'blessings' description seemed OTT.

Did I dial the wrong number ???

Instead of butting in - why dont you just stick to putting your points forward - and allow us to respond/dispute em -- or ignore you - eh?
It is a RL forum - not the RAF!!
Thats a good fella/girl !
Now run along and play nicely !!

If you want to chat to Code 13, with no rugby comments, as in your first post on the thread...pm him. If you need to write about fishing or lines or the RAF or wrong numbers then go and do it somewhere else. I am sure you can find forums where discussing the RAF is 'on topic'.

This is a rugby league forum and the thread is on Scott Grix. Do you have anything to say on the actual topic? icon_biggrin.gif

Your post has nothing to do with rugby league.

If you need to tell people about about your teeny weeny feelings then find another forum. Prattling on about such things when the thread is about Scott Grix is pitiful.

This is another thread that you two have derailed.

It is up to the mods to moderate the board not you two. But when you start bickering like two people in an old folks home it becomes boring.

Ignore each other, do not comment on each other, do not goad each other, pretend the other does not exist.

FINAL WARNING IN PUBLIC any more and you will be enjoying a hoiliday from the board.
