I do hope Mullally gets plenty of time on the field this year and bad performances are punished. We have the squad to do it.

Won't in a million look like this though.. Too many big names missing in Cudjoe, Grix and Robbo.

I think leaving leroy out is a bad decision. He has struggled with injury and fatigue this year- but he's a better player than smurph.

An average season for Leroy but when he came back after his rest he was back to his best

Leroy is one of the best centres out there and a mile above smurph

Who's gonna play 9 for ya when Shaun Lunt is at Hull KR?

IF Lunt is happy to sign for rovers then he can go for me. It would tell me all I need to know about his ambition.

Look at HKR's signings this season and look at ours and tell me which team seems to be ambitious.

Whether it comes off for HKR who knows. But they have an aggresive pack talented halves and some speedy backs.

See this is the thing HKR have got better on paper, you can sign quality players an it all looks rosey before a ball is kicked (thrown)

For me our signings have not been many or the marquee because they don't really need to be. I feel that our club is looking to not just the upcoming season but well into the future. The full time academy is evident of that approach. Our squad is quite young with younger lads already looking good to replace the older ones when needed.

We currently have a team that can consistently place high up in the league and compete with all teams. In a pre season you can put in new attacking, defensive systems, work on new one off plays and get fitness, strength, skills on the up. Players can learn, adapt and get better. The fact our squad is the same will hopefully get them playing better together and for each other the longer they are with each other.

Don't get me wrong I would love some big signings that would make some ripples in super league but I just don't think its a necessity.

we have shown over the last few years, that we aren't a team built on marquee players, but a team built on fairly solid foundations with players improving, i would say the exceptions are brough, ferres, and possibly robinson, who were all fairly high profile when they came to us.
the rest have been well coached youngsters and rejects( i mean that in the best possible way) and we have reaped the benefits of that.

Hull KR are ambitious and so are we in different ways. I think we are aiming to do a Wigan and bring in our own players from our accamadies and youth system.
I'm not certain not Hull KR's up and coming players but they are trying to build a side that will compete... I'm not sure if they are aiming for a quick fix. Lunt would fit in well with them but I think he's an inspiring hooker who took his chance. A good role model for our youth.

Look at salfords signings last season- were they ambitious? Did it do them any good?
Look at the season KR had last year, did they need to get better?
Look at Chase's move to Salford, did he show ambition? Amors move to saints? Different yes?
If Lunt were to go to Wigan, saints or dare I say it Leeds then that would be a different story. A move from us to KR...

hull kr have this turnaround of players every pre season, no stability at all, did same last season and were awful this year as predicted. bring in overseas players by the load too

oh and the signing of craig huby is one of the biggest signing the giants have made in years.. how this shows lack of ambition i dont know

I lunt was to go then robinson would become 80mins hooker, but for now its nothing more than an interest. wouldnt surprise though as i think lunt's commitment to the giants has been in question for a while.

We had a mediocre season and finished 3rd
We need consistancy not big names that might not work

Unless we sign someone like SBW or GI then the academy is the best way to spend the club's money
