Grix's toes are on the line when he catches the ball, so it should have been tap to Wigan.
btw No case to answer for Lauaki.

| It looked to me like they were next to the line without touching them
Unlike Charnley who was so far in touch he was in St Helens

oh...shame...maybe if your man had have kicked the ball far enough in the 1st place he wouldn't had needed to be near the line. Sorry but thats just embarassing straw clutching !

Rogues, did you see a further showing of the incident than the original SKy showing, because it was impossible to see from those clips whether they were?

Watch it again, he was on the line, but the touchjudge was unsighted (players and an official (water carrier / physio)) in his line of site.
I noticed when Jon Wells commented about it being a good piece of play as I watched the recording after I got home. A friend of mine who sits in the East Stand directly in line with the incident said the same to me at the U19's game on Saturday. That was big turn around the Robinson forward pass and that try took the score from 12 - 12 to 12 - 20. Don't get me wrong Huddersfield were the better team, but sometimes you get those decisions for you and sometimes you don't.
I hope you go on and win the LLS it would be good for the game in general.

I was also sat in east stand in front of where grix took that ball. I commented at the time he'd got his feet spot on as Powell prepared to kick it. Perfect from grix, cannot be seen from sky cameras.
So lauaki gets to play for Wigan next week- never mind Wigan - better luck next time!

| You're still refusing to acknowledge Charnley was a mile in touch when he fielded the 40/20 then?
Coverage of Grix is inconclusive, but it looked an immaculate piece of play to everyone else.
The Charnley in touch call was just a joke of a non decision it was so obvious

He may have been, but it was inconclusive as he jumped from the field of play and was in the air. Stuart Cummins looked at it about three times and couldn't make his mind up even with slow motion replays.

He jumped from a dead ball position.
That much is beyond question.

Were you? It was just past the half way line.
Quote: jools "But we didn't sit where we were told to because as expected people didn't sit in their allocated seats in the east stand which caused arguments so all the giants fans who wanted to got moved to the north stand-

| It's refreshing to hear Rogues, a reasonable Wiganer, if that is not an oxymoron. Referees decisions hardly ever change the game on their own. Just like the Robinson forward pass (the only clear error by the otherwise excellent Child) there were inexcusable errors in the Wigan defence that allowed the try. Blaming the ref is Cheap (not that I am accusing Rogues of that (just the rest of Wigan)).

| Don' think Lauaki was a ban, penalty sufficient as he did not strike the head.
Can't say about Grix or Charnley as both didn't have great camera coverage.
The pass by Robbo was forward, should have been disallowed, but wasn't.
Wigan showed a real lack of attacking creativity, was weak in the tackle, just about all of their team missed tackles - only Hughes didn't and a total of 34 from the opta stats.
I'd be really worried about your teams staying power, play like that in the cup final and I see only 1 winner.

No it wasn't just past halfway -it was at about 35 metres.
And I said all those giants fans that WANTED to could move. With my mum with us we stayed put rather than her going up and down stairs again.
Regardless you failed to score at all in the second half- and only looked like doing so on one occasion. Even if Powell had kicked that penalty there was no guarantee you'd get anything from it.

| but if wigan had had sam and lockers playing they would have beaten us by 40/50 points so any potential foot in touch straw clutching wouldn't have been necessary otherwise
