| We were outclassed in attack and defense, simple as. Great display by Wigan, they are a classy outfit and a hard team to beat for sure!

| Quote: Gahan "That loyal supporters chant was a complete mickey take, when people have 30+ years following our team then the kids can have a go till then it aint called for.
BTW i stayed till the end but thats a personal choice and i do it week in week out'"
Wasn't kids having a go it was the hardcore support many of whom I recognize from the old fartown days. People who have stuck by the team when we were losing every week and they have every right to call themselves loyal. You are right it's your choice whether to stay till the end- but if people choose not to then they should expect to get the same stick those same people would have given the Wiganers doing the Wigan walk under other circumstances.
The players appreciated the fans staying to the end and it will encourage them to do better next time.

Thats utter rubbish - so if you leave early you should expect to get stick for doing so - from who exactly? The 'loyal' crew? how many of you are there my friend?. I have more respect for those who stay til the end and appreciate the teams efforts and don't chant 'loyal supporters' rather than a few select kids and 'newbies' who now appear to have staked their claim to fame and ram it down everybody's throats at away games when we tend to lose.
Why not contact the club and you can all be suitably honoured for your loyalty.
But seriously its everyone's choice whether they stay until the end and its not down to you or any body else to decide or rebuke anyone for leaving when they choose to do so. We turned up last night - pity the players did'nt.
The 'loyal supporters' chant is childish and pointless. I think that is Gahan's point - from where I was sat there were a few older supporters but generally it was the younger fraternity.
Anyway onward and upward.

| If you have a choice to leave I have a choice to rebuke. I have been watching giants a very long time. My daughter has been going for 5 1/2 years my son for 7- they both went to their first game at 3 weeks old- does the fact they are young make them any less of a supporter which is what you seem to be saying. Perhaps if I'd have had my kids at 16 and they'd have been there when we were losing every week then they would be better supporters?

I dont think you do. You have no idea about peoples personal circumstances and the reasons they do not attend or leave matches early.
The giants need more fans END OF. Whether they are old or new, glory hunters or people who have been following for years.
Any actions by ANYONE who may have the effect of putting people off attending is counterproductive..
When we are getting 15000 to a game then you can relish your holier than thou attitude. Until then i suggest that you act in a way that will encorage people to come back to games rather than p them off.
I had two tickets for the game which i paid for , but in the end i did not even go to the game . Am i worse than someone who left 10 minutes from the end

You have no idea about personal circumstances - quality response though. Come back with a 'my dads bigger than your dad response'! quality.
Everybody has the right to do what they want and NOT BE SUBJECTED TO A STUPID CHANT claiming you and whomever else are 'loyal' supporters. You need to grow up. We are fans of the same club not seperate factions of a supporters group. With your arrogant attitude you will drive supporters away rather than attracting more.

| People's choice whether they choose to leave early....especially on nights like yesterday. Personally i've never left a game early and i stayed to the end and carried on singing for the lads....lets not forget as well as playing terrible we also played a top quality team who just happened to play excellently on the night .....maybe they took our lads by surprise and we couldn't cope with them but ATEOTD its a blip, a blip against the best side i've seen in the comp this year so heads and voices up and we roll on to next week !!!!

What an example to your kids, eh. Perhaps one day you'll 'rebuke' the wrong person who has the temerity to leave earlier than you think they should and you'll be able to show them how to cop a hiding too.

| I posted a comment about this 'Loyal Supporters' chant after the crusaders game. It may be sung by folk who went to games at Fartown, but it doesn't make them any more mature than my 8 year old.
It's childish and will put people off coming again as someone will get intimidated by it.
At the end of the day, it is quite ironic that it is actually sung to people who have paid and travelled to places like wrexham and wigan. Surely, by default, they are true supporters.
Mostly, this season, the giants support has been great (comparitively speaking) partly because we have had something to be positive about. However, we also need to be able to tell the players we are not happy with what we have seen.
Would these 'loyal supporters' preferred it if people stayed behind and booed?
I really don't mind us losing to a better team, but if we don't turn up on the day and hugely under-perform I reserve the right to do the same.
That been said, I don't leave early, but don't chastise other people for doing so.

| I understood fully the reasons the Giants fans left early.
They wanted to get the first few taxi's before the players had a chance to shower.

Im asking this as a serious question, not trolling, but do you think as a team you've grown to depend on him too much since you signed him? I dont remember you being that bad pre-brough, i couldnt believe the amount of times you went for power play close to the line on the last tackle. Like you were afraid to kick.'"
what do you mean bentham tried keeping us in the game hahaha

| Think he means we committed fewer offences thereby Bentham penalised Wigan more.
Mr B was very good last night - towards both sides.
