we were immense as in having the heart and desire to come back from 18-0 down with only 3 props in the 17.
hull weren't anything special, they played their sets out and capitalised on mistakes and penalties and took their chances, which i actually gave credit for.

| No idea why everyone is going on about penalties and or errors.
penalties are normally conceded when one team is on top of the other. hence we lost the collisions in the first half and gave away penalties. Manu running at Brown who struggled to cope with him = penalties. Good defence from Hull we dropped the ball.
Very few of the penalties or errors were unforced, Hull domintaed the tackle for 25 minutes.
In the second half we ran Hull ragged and as they tired they gave away penalties. penalties are part of the game but usually due to one team struggling.
However i was confused by a couple of decisions
Why was Wild ( i think) penalised for offloading did the ref call held ?
why were Hull penalised at the scrum i am sure childs indicated something about striking at the ball but am confused about that?

I thought he indicated he'd called held although it must of been split second.
I think he was penalising the player at the back of the scrum he kept breaking away early and did it on 3 occasions so guess he felt he'd given them enough warnings.

spot on! i did think the wild one was harsh though but we cant be sure how long after 'held' was called when he offloaded.
the hull one was correct he was warned about packing in and finally the ref's patience snapped on the 3rd occasion

| pmarrow, still continuing to write the same old rubbish you have for years. How Huddersfield Giants were not awarded far more penalties after Hull FC failed to clear the tackle, I will never know. The Hull Squad looked shattered and literally had "a rest" after every tackle completed.
Durham Giant, Kevin Brown dealt very well with Manu. It would have been a very different result had he failed to.

You seem to remember wrong then, it was Tansey.
As it was a 9-0 penalty count in the second half I'd guess you scored on the back of at least one.

| The worst thing is the penalties are clumsy rather than malicious and could easily be avoided with more discipline. The ones yesterday were 2 for ball stealing, 2 for Brown's challenges on Manu, Wild's for playing after the tackle complete, one stupid and obvious crossing and another stupid holding on from Robinson on the last tackle.
Hull's on the other hand were nearly all for scrum offences or high tackles. I was also amazed Child did not penalise Long for stopping Wild playing the ball on the Hull line and preventing a certain try. For me that was a definate ten minutes.

..and how the Referee was not more consistent to penalise your "angel" selfs, I will never know.
