| I said at the time that Broughton could have got closer to the posts, at least 2-3 metres anyway, despite the Warrington cover coming over.
He did the same the other week against Widnes if you remember, good try but just ran straight and did not bother to get nearer to the posts to make the kick a bit easier for Danny.
Mind Danny would have backed himself to make the kick 99 out of a hundred

Thats the stuart cummings that also said that Leroy Cudjoe was a mile offside/not square at the ptb at the end?

| haven't seen the re-run yet but the biggest giveaway for me was the crowd, they celebrated wildly at the ground because they expected it to not be given, it was one of the few times we realised there was any warrington fans there, i thought the south stand was a mural

could broughton have made it easier for him under the posts?'"
Give him a break mate it was a great try. Crap kick from Brough he should be kicking those.
I wasn't sure on the VR decision. The terrible attempted tackle by 5 of our players was just as bad as the decision.

| having now watched the re-run i can confidently say that that was never a try, bentham guessed where the ball was and awarded a try!
he should be held accountable but we all know he wont be, a shocking decision at the ground and still a shocking decision, video ref's should not be awarding tries on the basis of guesswork, not for the first time bentham has screwed us.

I've looked at the zoomed in picture- it shows nothing of the sort. You can see the ball - but not whether it's touching the line. Funny how even those fans of teams such as Cas for whom a draw was the perfect result don't agree it was a try. If it was the other way round neither would you.

| there is still no evidence on any pictures, moving or still that the ball hit the line,FIRST.
it might have finished on the line but it was short initially when he went to ground, how it got on the line-if it did- is anyone's guess, which is what the officials did- guessed!

It looks on the line to me.
I don't need to convince myself, I don't really care if it was or not because the officials of the game determined it was a try and their decision is final. Just like the other countless errors and wrong calls refs across the league make in every game.
Also to say that try prevented you winning the LLS is laughable.

| How is it laughable when it would have put us in clear second place with the leaders still to play.

Of course it does. You're a Wire fan. I'm not and it doesn't to me.
I'm not a Fartown fan either so don't really give a flying one and couldn't say whether the try cost them the LLS or not and we'll never know. IMHO the LLS is an irrelevance anyway.

It quotes 'In the picture above, the ball can just be seen between Michael Lawrence's boot and shin.'
I don't think that is the ball, it looks like someones boot. If it's the ball it's a very strange shaped ball indeed.
The biggest problem for me is there are 5 Giants players in that picture. Ben Harrison should have been nowhere near the line in the first place. Credit to him for getting the ball to where he did and for bringing doubt into the refs mind.
I've never been a big fan of the VR as I've seen plenty of dodgy decision go for and against the Giants (and other teams). It should only be used if the ref and his linesmen have no idea what went on due to obstructed views. The refs themselves should be making more decisions and then we could get on with the game. At the moment we're losing too much after match drinking time!
