| Quote: jools "I reckon we could have nude dancers and give away £10 notes and the folk of hudds would still stay away!
The whole match experience is an important one- they put on stuff before the game- why not after? When the kids play it's usually prematch not half time- which personally I don't like cause the only ones in the place are us parents! Do it at half time for me- get other youngsters seeing kids their age playing- and hopefully encourage them to.'"
Think Rickys has the strippers market covered.....never been given a free tenner mind you
Its definetly an are we can target as with Under 12s free there is encouragement to get them back but we already do so so is it an area that has more potential or doing it in a different way (perhaps a season long tournament where winning sides return for the later rounds adding an extra edge and perhaps Giants players coaching sessions for the eventual winners).

| To be honest it doesn't really affect me as i'm either in the concourse or stood up talking to my mates and hardly ever notice what goes on at half-time plus before i know it the teams are back out anyway.
One thing i definitely wouldn't wanna go back to though is them god awful young x-factor or whatever its called wannabee singers who sounds awful and in my opinion keep people away rather than bringing the, in !.

| half time doesnt really bother me either.
but i suppose Big G doing something daft on the pitch like a dizz kick gets some interest ...we were doing something similiar last season and if the person kicked a goal they won tickets to the grand final?
seems to have been stopped, but think alot has to do with the condition of the pitch at the moment, even the cheerleaders arent allowed on it!
on the cheerleaders...why is it always just one side that gets them??? i know more kids are over in the other stand but i think there should be some on the other side too, seems like we are the poor relation most of the time?! sort it out.

Ironic that we talk about cheerleaders in the days leading up to Wakefield away as they have hundreds of them, like Llanelli used to half an outside half factory Wakey must have one dolling out Cheerleaders.

| On the subject of the dancers why do they perform to the empty seats of the directors instead of the "popular" side?

| Meh, Im not interested in any entertainment that isn't the game
Spend less on half time entertainment and sell food and drink a bit cheaper might solve the problem by getting people queueing for concessions.

| The people around us all take snacks and a flask and im sure that the old lass in front aint on lemonade! she's normal at the start and smashed by the end of the game!
for those who may have misread the thread its not about if we should or shouldnt have half time entertainment its about the quality of the product on show the last 2 games HT have been embarrassing long periods of young lass's freezing and nothing at all happening, if nowt is planned then play a bit of music and let people crack on moaning about the ref!
personally i like to see what the club are doing away from the 1st team as well as the BIG G chalenges idea.

| SIMPLES - get kids teams playing at HT. Great experience for them, pretty entertaining and they get to drag mum/dad/siblings etc... along to bolster the crowd. I would offer the kids playing and say up to 3 guests free entry to that game, and the next home game after. If they were to attend both there would be a very good chance of them wanting to come again, pay and hopefully become regular supporters. Plus whilst there the kids will no doubt want to visit the club shop for some memoribilia or whatever to recognise that day they got to play at the JSS.
I am a ST holder - but would not be bothered if the club wanted to offer something like a reduced ticket offer in the first season of any new supporter to get them hooked. Rather that than we continue to build attendance slowly.
Back to HT entertainment - Fartown legend interviews would be good - get RHP to host and perhaps keep upbeat and comical like the Soccer AM style questions of best player played with/against, best/worst trainer, favourite away ground etc...
Finally I am not normally in my seat at HT - but do we use the big screen enough? I know they put up some quiz questions but these are a bit lame. This could be used for player interviews, footage of training, or previous game footage?

Spend enough time queuing for a drink, more concessions open might help along with them staying open longer into or even through the second half.

| The kids/schools teams playing at half time seems the best idea. You would get extra parents in. With the possibility they could become future supporters.
And at the end of the main game the kids and parents could possibly be treated to a light snack to promote the friendly atmosphere of the club, in the grand scheme of things it would not cost a lot to put a few sandwiches and soft drinks on for the kids and parents, who then would look forward to playing again at the stadium.
And possibly 1 or 2 of the senior players could bob in and chat to the kids at the same time.
