| Leeming doesn't seem quick enough off the mark to be a good hooker for me. The main role of a hooker these days is scooting from dummy half when the defence is on the back foot and making a break. Leeming hardly scoots at all. From what i've seen he's an ok back up but not good enough to be doing the job full time.

| Leeming scoots a fair bit tbh. More than hinchy - who never scoots. Wood was better and surprised we let him go tbh.....
Anyone know when numbers will be confirmed? And what the delay?

| yeh leeming just seemed to go sideways! but as his confidence grew he started to go forward abit more, no scoots as good as wood though, i also think we should have kept him but oh well he was part of the cas family/mates who have done one
squad numbers would be announced shortly you would think, now they have announced mamo and wakeman

| no point talking about Wood he,s history,so will Hinchy, certainly won,t miss him, so the general consensis is Leeming isn,t good enough so a hooker is a priority, and we will have to bring in a ready made one (l thought the Ricksters forte was developing youngsters) meanwhile Hinchy keeps the 9, not keen. and l still have hopes for the lad.

| Leeming was our best 9 last year imo, just needs to back himself well
But he passes well and crisply and is powerful

I agree code, last year will have benefitted him and another preseason with him as the sole 9 will stand him in good stead this time around

| Got to remember, regarding the scooting that
A. He's still a young lad with a lot to learn.
and
B. Our forwards over the last couple of seasons have been not been at a consistently good standered at going forward and creating quick play of the balls.
Definately a good chance for Leeming to step up this season. As long as he gets a lot of game time I don't think he'll mind the number 9 shirt this season.

If he develops the ability to score close range tries at crucial stages of a game like Lunt did it would make up for it. Just saying, i haven't seen anything that makes him warrant a starting no.9 spot yet, crisp passing alone isn't enough!

| Well I'm with the pros for Leeming on here.
Was impressed with him from day 1.
He's got the body shape of a Kieran Cunningham.
If he can develop his strength, skills, game management and ability to score those short range tries anywhere near that of Kieran he'll go a long way.
Rick Stone obviously thinks a lot of him.
Big season for him but he'll need some backup as he's not an 80 min player as yet.
Kieran's ability to pass straight off the ground was superb and Krusie has a similar ability.

| Really pleased for the lad, after his 80 mins stint, he,s looking good, and will be most improved player of the season even at this early stage.

| Leeming is our best player at the moment in my opinion, he's getting the team moving forward and attacking with purpose with his runs from dummy half, he's been a joy to watch so far this year.
