And yes kopczak has had a good season- but ask yourself- he performed in his first year as he had a point to prove to Bradford, and this year he's playing for a contract- so why wasn't he playing as well for the time in between?'"
Agreed, he's been noticeably better this season, perhaps not quite as good as his first and disappointing in between for me, considering the hassle we caused getting him. I think Hughes is off to Warrington. Maybe Patrick can find some contentment and form with us next season.

| He's playing for a contract. Simple as that.
As mentioned, good first season then terrible in between. My main issue was that he didn't appear to care.
If he is willing to take a pay cut and we can get him cheap then fine. But I assume he would be 5th choice hooker at best.
With regards to Patrick I would try and get rid. If that means loaning him out again so be it. I've said it before but if we weren't good enough for him to ply his trade here this year we won't be good enough next year. I can guarantee that if Wigan wanted him he'd be gone like a shot.
If we lose taai and Hughes I would think we would need to recruit/promote at least one more back rower because if PA decides to keep wardle at centre we will be left very short.

| Kopczak has been brilliant , always has been a good prop for us
he never had a break before when also having to play in the world cup for wales being their captain.
think he will continue at the giants and sign a new deal.
hughes rumoured to be going which is a shame as he has been good for us this year
patrick i dont think is returning which is a good thing

Why wouldn't Patrick be returning?
Got a year left on his contract and can't see Wigan wanting to keep him the way he's played this year.

If Wigan are not happy with him why does he keep getting in their team??? Think he has had over 100 games in his career as an interchange and this season he has done as expected and if he ends up at us or Wigan will be doing the same sort of role next season.

Agree Brearley , Koppy has been one of our most consistent players, shame he is not appreciated by some on here. He is Andersons best signing by a mile and would be missed if he goes. Patrick has been a Star at Wigan and would not want to return to Giants, too good for us. Whatever will be will be.

The Wigan fans don't think he's a star.

| He keeps getting games because they have a lot of injuries. A fully fit Wigan team would not involve Patrick.
Koppy was lucky we didn't have anybody to replace him last year. He got dropped for one game last year but we didn't have enough quality in the front row to keep him dropped. That is not the case now.
I will have no problem if he stays. However I won't be that d if he goes either.

| I'd give Koppy another deal. He has had a couple of average season prior to this one but he's proved he wants to stay and that he has something to offer. I'd offer him something.

Kopczak has had the benefit of a good pre-season with no distractions like World cup duty.
Looks good at the moment and worth another contract.

| TBC - I totally agree with you about the impact of the World Cup on him. I think it was mentally as well as physically tiring for him. He took a lot of responsibility as captain and unfortunately had a poor World Cup by his standards which I think hit his confidence and which has taken him a while to get back. With that back and a good pre season, that's why we're seeing the best of him again.

The magic of Harris strikes again, how many players has he knocked back be it with Crusaders, Wales or Salford. Useless coach and terrible personality and can not remember him acknowledging the supporters of Cru or Wales in all the time they had to watch the rubbish his side's were producing.

This would explain a dip in his form, at that time. Been one of our most consistent performers this season .
When players turn out when injured it proves how committed they are to the team, too many are happy to sit out and watch. If the interchange rule 10 to 8 is made then we will need props who can do big minutes.

| I like the idea of 8 interchanges but I feel there must be tougher refereeing and perhaps remove the on report option and put players in the sin bin or send them off as if a player goes off because of serious foul play and the offender gets off scott free (within that match) then the new system has flaws.
