| Need to turn up as if we are playing Wigan or Leeds week in week out regardless of opposition. That attitude today was shocking and the better team lost, too many leaving it to someone else to do. Forwards bar Ta'ai were non existent and Grix cannot play standoff.
In the hat Monday but as to wether we deserve it is debatable, we got beat by Bradford, Salford and nearly Batley because of the attitude, add to this not sticking 70-80 past Cas and allowing them to come back into game ala Hull KR and it needs to change and change fast. Wigan or Wire would have hit 40+ today and that's still the difference between us and the top teams.

Wonder who gave you that idea lol
Bit touch and go as FC ran riot towards the end but kept within the handicap so happy days.

| Also agree regarding Grix, Murphy and Dawson.
Why Dawson was in before George is beyond me. He had a shocking game.
With Grix and what appeared to be a half-interested Brough in the halves it was always going to be difficult to create opportunities for our three quarters.
That much of our pack were out-run, out-tackled and out-enthused by Batley's forwards was very disappointing, as was the fact that we had to rely on our defence to win the game rather than an attack that has scored 150 points in three SL matches. They also moved the ball better than us. All credit to Batley, they played very well, but from a Huddersfield POV that we were outplayed and out-enthused is a concern. And this isn't the first time this season by a less-fancied club.
Thaler's decisions, for and against, baffled at times - especially his leniency with regards to high shots.
We're in the draw and Ta'ai is looking fitter. Aside from that, an uninspiring day!

| Can't disagree with what's been said, thought Murphy was our MOTM, Lunt played OK as did Ta'ai , Grix had one of his worst games for a while.
Losing Wardle didn't help Dawson, but thought he looked lightweight and was absent for the cut out pass from Brough, by a good 10 yards.
Batley were excellent and a credit to the Championship for their performance.
Well worth a £5 to go watch if you're a Giants STH.

| It would be great to see a few of you up at the Mount when you don't have a game. As Birkygiant says, you'll struggle to find better entertainment for a £5.

| It took Thaler until the second half to start penalising high shots and slowing down the play the ball. If he had done that earlier it would have been a more open game.
Credit to Batley though the played well. I was particularly impressed with their two hookers and the ginger haired prop.

Sounds like Thaler was pants at Batley. the ref at Hull was also awful and helped the big margin by penalising the Cru at every opportunity and not punishing FC for similar stuff but a winning bet is a winning bet so we'll take that. The away support was loud and proud as would be expected and winning Champ 1 looks on

| Firtsly full credit to Batley - just like 2 years ago they can count themselves unlucky not to have pulled off a shock win. We started well and seemed really up for it - but somehoew we seemed to lose heart when things did not quite go for us. Batley were well on top most of the first half and played a lot of the game in our half forcing repeat sets - we simply could not seem to break their momentum and they fully deserved to lead at the break.
Not sure why we can't seem to get these sort of games right and to be honest it came as no suprise that we made very hard work for ourselves. Still - we are in the hat for next round and that is all that matters.
Will defo go watch Batley for a fiver whenever we are not playing - top performance from them today and like has been said before they will turn over a SL team one day if they keep playing like that.

| Credit to Batley, there lads gave everything and more and like 2011, only them running out of steam was the difference in the end.
I'm not going to be too harsh on our boys as it was a tough game and ateotd we had to come from behind against tough opposition and we did.
People were getting on players backs from 10-15 minutes in and like i've said before, playing up the hill at the Mount is never easy for any team - we have no right to be hammering any team, we have to earn the right and we didnt do that - Batley had 3,4 men in every tackle and were walloping our guys, it was bound to take it out of them in the end.
Were through to the last 16 and i dont care how we got there, we did. Tell you what though we will have easier super league games than that this year.
