well that was a bad night at the office! been due one though cant grumble too much after the winning run we have been on.

we went 16-6 up but never felt comfortable , knew wildcats would come back at us with the injuries mounting during the game and our completion rate being so low!

pauli pauli and hampshire had top games for them.

not sure where ferguson and roberts were, maybe just a straight swap for murphy and lawrence ... roche never seems to finish a game without coming off the field with something!

Mate, it doesn’t disturb me in the slightest. For a start, I’ve long grown out of a rugby match upsetting me regardless of the result. It’s nice when the Giants win, but I’m not losing sleep on it.

And second, I’ve thought the current super 8 playoffs build in pointless, meaningless matches from the off - and this was one of them. A few people criticised me for suggesting that the club should use it as a chance to get senior players right for next year, and expose some youngsters to a higher standard - but I’ve seen nothing yet to suggest I was wrong.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it. Any rugby league is always a good watch, but on this occasion I saved my money and stayed at home.

The crowds generally reflect a lack of enthusiasm for the super 8's. The middle 8's are interesting for an outsider but horrible when you're involved in them.

Poor performance from us Friday and a good one from Wakey. Worrying thing for us is that we don't just get beat - we get mullered and that is shown in our points difference. Why? We had no intent Friday, sideways passing, stuttering forwards, standing off in defence. Terrible pass from Leeming for the intercept and we just downed tools!

Still, we were due a bad performance after having played well for a good while now. But when we play rubbish, boy, do we play rubbish!

I thought we were going ok until Leeming threw his crazy interception pass. We were in the lead at that point, not playing brilliantly but doing ok. After that wakey’s confidence went up and they played some really good rugby. Pauli Pauli is a monster and we couldn’t handle him. Let’s not forget wakey are a good team with plenty of pace, something we were lacking, especially when Jerry and Darnell went off
